The main input parameters of the first and second embodiments of the control device according to the present invention are
One or more parameters of the main drive device that are proportional to the cutting torque M. Major
The force parameter is a signal that determines the feed rate F as a function of M,
The tasks to be achieved therefore depend on the characteristics of the individual milling cutter used.
To maintain the torque at a stable level that is set. The required value is
, Can be seen in a properly prepared table.
Another feature of the present invention is the maximum rated cutting torque M.0instead of
Maximum torque M0'When first machining one or more identical workpieces
The teaching mode is set. Teaching mode is the same work
It is especially effective for large runs.
Another important parameter used by the control device according to the present invention is the cutting width (
b) and cutting depth (h), which indicates the cutting cross-sectional area (cutting area for short)
ρ [mm2].
Referring to the drawing, in FIG. 1, it can be mounted on a CNC milling machine,

Unit 16 and
b) A tool protection unit 1 that supplies a feed speed limit signal to the feed speed calculator 20.
8 and
c) The instantaneous ρ value that is also addressed by the signal from the feed rate calculator 20
An identifying unit 22,
d) Set torque M0Comparing the actual torque M with the actual moment
Unit 24.
Depending on the position of the mode switch 6, the logic member 26 is activated by the comparator unit 24.
, The value of M determined by either the unit 16 or the manual selector 80

The self-diagnosis unit 28 is provided so as to be interposed therebetween. When button 10 is pressed,
The unit 28 checks the whole system and if the system is working
When it is determined that the feed rate is in the enabled state, the feed rate calculator 20 is supplied with an enable signal.
The heart of the control unit is the compensation unit 3 cooperating with the ρ-identification unit 22 already mentioned.
It is composed of 0s.
The following is a description of a device for basing the compensation principle.
Feed rate is set value M0Or M0′ And the actual value M determined by ΔM
.
Metal cutting (as static machining) can be represented by the following formula:
M = AFyργ
here:
ρ = Cutting area described above
F = feed rate
A, y, γ = coefficient depending on tool type and metal processing conditions
It is.
If ΔM is an error in stability of cutting torque, it can be defined as follows.
RU:
here:
Kc= CNC gain (static state)
Kl= Current monitor gain
However, in actual processing, ρ << 1 / KlKcA, resulting ΔM ≒
M0Or, by setting M ≒ 0, the cutting torque is stable at a moderate or small ρ-value.
It becomes impossible.
In order to ensure that M becomes independent from the change in ρ, the compensation unit has a variable gain Kk
It is necessary to provide:
Here, B is a constant.
Therefore, KkDetermine ρ at each moment in the whole cutting process to calculate
It is necessary that ρ be the ratio ΔM / FαThe unit according to the assumption that it is proportional to
22. Here, α is determined by each material to be cut.
The effect of the compensator is shown in FIG. 2, where the solid lines 32 and 34 are of ρ
F and M / M which are functions (especially functions of cutting height h)0Compensated and shown
And the dotted lines 36 and 38 have the same numerical values F and M / M.0Also shown without compensation
Of.
The feed rate of the machine tool is obviously controlled by the output F of the feed rate calculator 20.
You.

And its elements) and some additional units described below.
The first criterion consists of units 20, 22, 24 and 30 (Figs. 1 and 3)
Processed by "F-loop", M = M0And the second group
The premise requires the introduction of an additional unit 44, which is a tool
It is the operating part of the "S-loop" in the sense that it controls the idle speed (S).

Cut to a depth of 0.5 mm at a feed speed of 500 mm / min, and rotate the cutter at a speed of 10
At 00 rpm and a tool diameter of 12 mm, an error of 0.04 mm occurs, whereas
The cutting depth, feed rate, speed, and tool are the same, and the thickness of the cutting part is 10 mm.
And the error is only 0.005 mm. This difference is of course the "retraction (givin
g in) '' and the subsequent spring back, and the part where the cutting cutter is thin
The feed rate should be reduced when the minutes are reached.
This not only complicates the CNC program, but also the heavy part followed by the thin part.
It is difficult to determine if the minutes will effectively begin. In addition, worn cutters are
If it is a new cutter, it will increase the distortion force which should be smaller.
In this embodiment, it is possible to automatically reduce the feed rate at the moment when the deformation of the wall is detected.
It is a feature.
During thin wall cutting, the frequency of the electro-mechanical loop when the thin part is partial.
Because the numerical characteristics change,
It has been found that certain harmonics of the kinetic current are reduced. Therefore, the feed drive current signal
A specific signal that indicates the substantial beginning and end of the thin portion, based on the analysis of variance of
Can be generated. These signals are sent when machining such thin parts.
Can be used to reduce machining speed and thus increase the accuracy of machining operations.
Can be
The additional circuit of the embodiment of FIG. 5 is provided with a suitable sensor 52 responsive to the feed drive current.
The sensor sends a signal to an analyzer 54 for analyzing harmonics of the feed drive current.
The analyzer 54 supplies the signal to the feed rate calculator 20,
A signal that changes the output signal of the converter is sent to the signal converter 56. Ie sensor 52 and minute
When the analyzer 54 indicates the effective start portion of the thin portion, a signal for decreasing the feed rate is issued.
Feed and when sensor 52 and analyzer 54 indicate the end of this part, the previous feed
Generates a signal to return to speed.
The embodiment of FIG. 3 shows a different tool C using a pre-programmed sequence.
It is especially suitable for NC machining centers, and the tool has been changed as shown in Fig. 3.
By installing the memory unit 42, which eliminates the need to reset the controller every time
, More efficient than previous implementation diversification.
The invention is not limited to the details of the foregoing embodiment, and it is not
Can be implemented in another specific form without departing from the idea or essential characteristics of
It will be clear to those skilled in the art. Therefore, the embodiment of the present invention is applicable to all aspects.
However, the scope of the present invention is not to be construed as limiting and is merely an example for explanation.
