Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle window glass structure that is composed of making invisible any backside structure of this window glass without installing a ceramic printing part extending over the overall width of a body panel. SOLUTION: A gradation printing part 6 is widened as far as a portion of having narrowed the width of a ceramic printing part 4, and then such a process as reflecting a light to this gradation printing part 6 is carried out. As for this light reflecting process, for example a reflecting film 7 is stuck to the backside of this gradation printing part 6. In consequence, an internal structure at the backside of window glass 2 being more dark than the surface side becomes hardly risible.

2. Description of the Related Art An automobile window glass is usually attached to a body panel forming a vehicle body, a rear gate or the like by means of bonding or the like, except for a door glass which can be opened and closed. For example, in the case of the rear gate 1 shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, if the structure in which the window glass 2 reaches the end of the body panel 3 such as a pillar is adopted, the internal structure of the body panel 3 or the like can be seen through the window glass 2. The need arises to prevent it. For this reason, ceramic printing is applied to the rear surface of the outer peripheral end of the windshield 2 to provide the ceramic print portion 4 so that the rear surfaces of the body panel 3 and the trim 5 cannot be seen from the outside of the vehicle through the windshield 2. In addition,
Reference numeral 6 indicates a ceramic printing gradation printing portion provided on the inside of the ceramic printing portion 4.

In the above-mentioned conventional structure, in order to achieve the purpose of the ceramic printing portion 4, it is necessary to print wider than the width of the body panel 3 and the trim 5. For this reason, the ratio of the black portion on which the ceramic printing is applied to the entire area of the window glass 2 becomes large, which causes a problem that the appearance of the vehicle body is deteriorated.
In order to solve this, the body panel 3 may be made as small as possible, but in reality, it is difficult to realize it because it is necessary to secure high vehicle body rigidity. Particularly in the case of a rear gate, since the hinge portion needs to have a large strength, it is possible to prevent the body panel 3 near the hinge portion located on the roof side from becoming considerably large and the ceramic printing portion 4 becoming thick. Absent. As a measure against this, conventionally, a gradation printing portion 6 is provided inside the ceramic printing portion 4 and the boundary line of the ceramic printed portion is blurred so that the black portion gradually becomes the ceramic printed black portion from the glass surface. In reality, the wide feeling of the ceramic printing unit 4 has not been completely eliminated.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems, and gradation printing is provided around the inner end of the ceramic printing portion on the glass surface having the outer periphery end ceramic printed. A vehicle windshield obtained by subjecting the gradation printing section to a process for reflecting light.

According to the above-mentioned means of the present invention, most of the light incident from the outside of the window glass is obtained by subjecting the gradation printing portion to the light reflection treatment of a film or coating, for example. The internal structures in the dark position are rarely visible from the outside because they are reflected without reaching the internal structures.

Further, if the window glass is simply subjected to a treatment of reflecting the light without performing the gradation printing, the internal structure may be seen through depending on the incident angle of the light, but the appropriately arranged gradation printing portion. Such a problem can be solved by using in combination with a process for reflecting light.

In the present invention, the reflection film 7 is attached to the surface on the back side (on the side of the body panel 3) of the gradation printing section 6 in order to perform the processing for reflecting light on the gradation printing section 6 described above. The reflective film 7 is, for example, a semi-transparent film having a high reflectance, and the lower the luminous intensity of the rear surface is, the less visible the internal structure of the body panel 3 or the like is from the outside. That is, the reflection film 7 has an effect of reducing the amount of light passing therethrough and making the light reflected by the film larger than the light passing therethrough. As a result, the reflection processing gradation portion 8 looks like glass from the outside. As shown in FIG. 2, the width of the ceramic printing portion 4 can be made narrower than that of the internal structure. It should be noted that the smoked film merely lowers the light transmittance and is therefore not suitable for the purpose of the present invention.

As the above-mentioned light-reflecting treatment, in addition to attaching the reflection film 7, coating such as aluminum vapor deposition is also effective.

According to the above-described vehicle windshield of the present invention, the inner structure on the back side of the windshield can be made almost invisible, and since it looks like glass from the outside, the width of the inner structure is wide. However, it is possible to reduce the size of the ceramic printing part. Therefore, regardless of the width of the internal structure, the area of the windshield can be made large in appearance, thereby increasing the degree of freedom in design, which is very effective in improving the appearance.
