Abstract
Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.刺激電極の最適な筋肉組織挿入位置を決定するための刺激電極位置決定方 法において、 試験プローブを筋肉組織の刺激されるように選択された部分に電気的に接触さ せる工程と、 導電性リード線を前記試験プローブに接続する工程と、 幾つかの位置に対して、前記導電性リード線を通して閾値計測電流を前記試験 プローブに加え、前記筋肉組織に刺激を加える工程と、 前記位置の各々について、前記筋肉組織が前記刺激に反応する閾値電流の計測 を行う工程と、 前記幾つかの位置のうち、最適の筋肉閾値反応を示す位置を決定し、この位置 を、前記刺激電極を永久的に移植するための最適の位置と同定する工程と、 を有する、刺激電極位置決定方法。 2.前記試験プローブは、前記刺激電極の移植を容易にするため、前記刺激電 極の先端に連結された縫合針で構成されている、請求項1に記載の方法。 3.前記試験プローブは、前記筋肉組織の表面に対し、この表面を完全に穿通 することなく、導電関係で適用される、請求項1に記載の方法。 4.前記試験プローブは、前記筋肉組織の表面を完全に穿通する、請求項1に 記載の方法。 5.更に、前記試験プローブに接続された導線を切断する工程と、決定された 最適の位置で移植電極を前記筋肉組織に挿入する工程とを有する、請求項1に記 載の方法。 6.前記試験プローブは、前記筋肉組織の表面に対し、この表面を完全に穿通 することなく、導電関係で適用される、請求項2に記載の方法。 7.前記試験プローブは、前記筋肉組織の表面を完全に穿通する、請求項2に 記載の方法。 8.更に、前記試験プローブに接続された導線を切断する工程と、決定された 最適の位置で移植電極を前記筋肉組織に挿入する工程とを有する、請求項2に記 載の方法。 9.刺激電極の最適の筋肉組織挿入位置を決定するための刺激電極位置決定装 置において、 筋肉組織の刺激されるべき選択された部分に電気的に接触する試験プローブを と、 前記試験プローブに接続された導電性リード線と、 前記導電性リード線を通して閾値計測電流を前記試験プローブに加え、前記筋 肉組織を幾つかの位置で刺激するための手段と、 前記位置の各々で、前記筋肉組織が前記刺激に反応する閾値電流の計測を行う ための手段とを有し、 移植者は前記幾つかの位置のうち最適の筋肉閾値反応を示す位置を決定でき、 この位置を前記刺激電極を永久的に移植するための最適の位置と同定するように 構成された、刺激電極位置決定装置。 10.前記試験プローブは、前記刺激電極の移植を容易にするため、前記刺激電 極の先端に連結された縫合針である、請求項9に記載の装置。 11.前記縫合針は、電流を変化させずに針を把持するため、その外面に絶縁コ ーティングを有し、前記絶縁コーティングは、針の鋭い先端部分に対して間隔を おいた関係で終端する、請求項10に記載の装置。 12.前記絶縁コーティングはポリウレタン接着剤からなる、請求項11に記載 の装置。 13.更に、前記試験プローブと前記刺激電極との間に連結された吸収性材料で できた縫糸を有する、請求項9に記載の装置。 14.更に、前記縫合針と前記刺激電極との間に連結された吸収性材料でできた 縫糸を有する、請求項10に記載の装置。 15.前記縫合針は、電流を変化させずに針を把持するため、その外面に絶縁コ ーティングを有し、前記絶縁コーティングは、針の鋭い先端部分に対して間隔を おいた関係で終端する、請求項14に記載の装置。 16.前記絶縁コーティングはポリウレタン接着剤からなる、請求項15に記載 の装置。 17.刺激電極と、 前記刺激電極に接続された試験プローブと、 前記試験プローブに電気的に接続された導電性リード線と、 を有する刺激装置。 18.前記試験プローブは前記刺激電極の先端に連結された縫合針である、請求 項17に記載の刺激装置。 19.前記縫合針はその外面に絶縁コーティングを有し、前記絶縁コーティング は針の鋭い先端部分に対して間隔をおいた関係で終端する、請求項18に記載の 刺激装置。 20.前記絶縁コーティングはポリウレタン接着剤からなる、請求項19に記載 の刺激装置。 21.更に、前記試験プローブと前記刺激電極との間に連結された吸収性材料で できた縫糸を有する、請求項17に記載の刺激装置。 22.更に、前記縫合針と前記刺激電極との間に連結された吸収性材料でできた 縫糸を有する、請求項18に記載の刺激装置。 23.前記縫合針はその外面に絶縁コーティングを有し、前記絶縁コーティング は針の鋭い先端部分に対して間隔をおいた関係で終端する、請求項22に記載の 刺激装置。 24.前記絶縁コーティングはポリウレタン接着剤からなる、請求項23に記載 の刺激装置。
