The structure of the present invention will be described in more detail. In the present invention, as the fiber material forming the unit ceiling material, natural fibers such as cotton and hemp, synthetic fibers such as polyamide fibers and polyester fibers, or glass fibers. A woven fabric, a non-woven fabric, a knitted fabric (knit fabric) or a carpet fabric made of inorganic fibers such as can be used, and a backing layer for enhancing the thickness, strength or shape retention of the fabric by such fiber fabric alone. Is attached to the back surface of the cloth to form a unit ceiling material.
The backing layer includes cloth or rubber made of the above fibers, plastic or a foam thereof such as polyurethane or polypropylene foam, natural rubber, SBR (butadiene styrene copolymer rubber), EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate elastomer). And sheets of these foams can be used.

It is desirable that the unit ceiling material is lightweight from the viewpoint of workability, and a lightweight sheet having a thin backing layer of the above rubber or plastic is used. However, a relatively thick sheet may be used to enhance the sound absorption. When the fabric is made of inorganic fibers, it is nonflammable, but when it is made of organic fibers, it is usually flammable, so it is difficult to form the fabric with flame-retardant fibers containing flame-retardant components. It is desirable to use a fabric that is made flammable or that has been subjected to a flame-retardant treatment such as impregnation of the fabric with a flame-retardant compound. Similarly, it is preferable to use a flame-retardant cloth, rubber, or plastic for forming the backing layer. For the rubber, plastic and foam thereof, chlorine-containing compounds, bromine-containing compounds, phosphoric acid compounds, antimony oxide, It is desirable to add a flame retardant such as hydrous alumina.

The unit ceiling material mainly composed of the above-mentioned fiber material has a shape such as a square or a rectangle in which the surface to be decorated of the ceiling is regularly divided, and has a size suitable for being attached to the ceiling, for example, The vertical and horizontal lengths are formed to have a size of 300 to 900 mm. Addresses (headings such as numbers, symbols, letters, etc.) that divide the ceiling are attached to each unit ceiling material, and when all the unit ceiling materials are installed and deployed on the ceiling according to this address, the ceiling The whole part or the surface to be decorated is covered by the ornamental image of the whole or the ceiling. The unit ceiling material has a regularly divided shape as described above, but it is not necessary that all of the unit ceiling materials have the same shape and size. For example, the unit ceiling material is divided into squares of a certain size. Even in such a case, the unit ceiling material of the address located on the edge side of the ceiling may have rectangular shapes of different sizes.

As described above, the present invention can exert the following effects. It is possible to decorate the ceiling with a unique ornamental image that is in harmony with the indoor environment and decoration and that matches your taste at low cost and in a short time. The decorative ceiling material is easy to handle, and the workability of attaching and fixing it to the ceiling is good. Therefore, the need for a decorative ceiling that accompanies the development of visual culture, visualization of living and working environments can be met with relative ease. Further, it is relatively easy to change the ornamental image. If the textile material constituting the decorative ceiling material and the backing layer added as necessary are made flame-retardant or non-combustible, the non-combustibility and flame retardancy of the ceiling will not be impaired. If desired, the backing layer may be used as a sound absorbing layer to enhance the sound absorbing effect of the ceiling.
