Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an ink pattern having a given coating thickness corresponding to the thickness of a screen even in the case where a viscosity of ink is low by a method wherein at least the surface of a squeezee is made to have water-repellent properties. CONSTITUTION:The whole of a squeezee 4 is made of a high-molecular resin such as polypropylene or of fluororesin such as Teflon or the like. Or, after being made of an elastic material such as rubber etc., the squeezee is formed by applying a coating of silicon, fluorine and the like to the surface thereof. In this case, when ink 3 is squeezed by using the squeezee 4, stickiness of the ink 3 for the squeezee 4 is reduced even in the case where a viscosity of the ink 3 is low, because at least the surface of the squeezee 4 has water-repellent properties, and the ink 3 is easily separated from the squeezee 4. Accordingly, the ink 3 is not dragged by the squeezee 4, but the upper face of the ink 3 filled in a printing pattern 5 of a screen 2 becomes flat, so that the thickness of the ink 3 at the central portion of the printing pattern 5 also corresponds to that of the screen 2 in a like manner at the peripheral portion thereof.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, in the manufacture of thick film electronic components, a method of forming a thick film is performed by printing ink (paste) such as resistors and conductors on a ceramic substrate through a screen (mask). That is, a method called a screen printing method is adopted. In this screen printing method, as shown in FIG. 2, a predetermined amount of ink 3 is placed on the metal foil screen 2 that is positioned and placed on the ceramic substrate 1, and then the ink 3
While being extruded with a squeegee 4 made of rubber or the like, the printing pattern 5 of the screen 2 is filled and the ink pattern of a predetermined shape is transferred onto the ceramic substrate 1.

By the way, when the screen printing method is adopted and the viscosity of the ink 3 is low, the squeegee of the ink 3 to be filled with the printing pattern 5 being sufficiently filled. As shown in FIG. 2, the upper surface of the filled ink 3 becomes concave, and the thickness of the central portion becomes thinner than the thickness of the peripheral portion. If such a situation occurs, the film thickness of the transferred ink pattern varies depending on the position, and as a result, it becomes impossible to secure the required characteristics in the thick film electronic component or the like. The phenomenon that the ink 3 is dragged by the squeegee 4 is considered to be because the ink 3 has strong adhesiveness to the squeegee 4 and is difficult to separate.

The present invention was devised in view of such inconvenience, and it is possible to obtain an ink pattern having a constant film thickness corresponding to the thickness of the screen even when the viscosity of the ink is low. The purpose is to provide a squeegee that can.

According to the above construction, since at least the surface of the squeegee has water repellency, even if the viscosity of the ink is low, the adhesion of the ink to the squeegee will be reduced. The ink easily separates from the squeegee.

FIG. 1 is an explanatory view showing the configuration of the screen printing method according to the present embodiment. However, the configuration itself is basically the same as that of the conventional example, and therefore it is the same as or equivalent to FIG. 2 in FIG. Also in this embodiment, as shown in FIG.
A predetermined amount of ink 3 is placed on a screen 2 made of metal foil which is positioned and placed on the ceramic substrate 1, and then the ink 3 is pushed out by a squeegee 4 made of rubber or the like and a printing pattern 5 on the screen 2 is printed. The inside is filled and the ink pattern of a predetermined shape is transferred onto the ceramic substrate 1. And the squeegee 4 at this time is

That is, the squeegee 4 is entirely made of a polymer resin such as polypropylene or polyethylene,
Alternatively, it is manufactured using a fluorine resin such as Teflon. Alternatively, it is made of an elastic material such as rubber, and is formed by applying a coating film of silicon, fluorine or the like on the surface thereof.

Therefore, using this squeegee 4, ink 3
Since the squeegee 4 has water repellency at least when it is extruded, even if the viscosity of the ink 3 is low, the adhesion of the ink 3 to the squeegee 4 decreases. , The ink 3 is easily separated from the squeegee 4. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 1, the ink 3 is not dragged by the squeegee 4,
The upper surface of the ink 3 filled in the printing pattern 5 of the screen 2 has a flat shape, and the thickness of the central portion thereof corresponds to the thickness of the screen 2 like the thickness of the peripheral portion.

As described above, according to the squeegee of the present invention, since at least the surface of the squeegee has water repellency, the thickness of the screen can be reduced even when the viscosity of the ink is low.
