Abstract
Description
Claims (9)
- 1.液晶レンズの光透過率を制御するための電気回路であって、液晶レンズを最 大及び最小光学濃度の間の遷移領域内で動作させるように、レンズを駆動する電 圧の振幅及び/又はデューティサイクルを制御するための手段、 を備えたことを特徴とする電気回路。
- 2.パルス電圧の実効値が、液晶レンズのしきい値の間に留まるように制御され ることを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項記載の電気回路。
- 3.前記液晶レンズが、環境光のレベルに応じて、前記手段によりそのデューテ ィサイクルが調整可能なパルス電圧信号により駆動されることを特徴とする請求 の範囲第2項記載の電気回路。
- 4.二値出力によりパルス電圧のデューティサイクルを制御するために、入力さ れた環境光の二値表現を可能とするルックアップテーブルを備えたことを特徴と する請求の範囲第3項記載の電気回路。
- 5.前記環境光のレベルが、信号を生成する光検出子により検出され、該信号が 、環境光レベルに対数的に比例した第二の信号を生成するために対数的に圧縮さ れていることを特徴とする前記請求の範囲のいずれか一項に記載の電気回路。
- 6.前記光検出子の信号が、デジタル信号に変換されるアナログ信号であり、そ の値がラッチ回路内に保持されて、レンズを制御するための信号を出力するパル ス幅変調器に入力されることを特徴とする請求の範囲第5項記載の電気回路。
- 7.略一定の値に供給電圧を調整するための電圧調整器を含み、太陽電池電源と 併用される、前記請求の範囲第3項又はそれに従属するいずれか一項に記載の電 気回路。
- 8.レンズを駆動する電圧のデューティサイクルの範囲を調整するために、環境 光レベルを表す信号を前処理するための手段を含むことを特徴とする請求の範囲 第1項乃至第3項のいずれか一項に記載の電気回路。
- 9.前記請求の範囲のいずれか一項に記載の、液晶レンズと該レンズを制御する ための電気制御回路とを含むサングラス。
