Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce a novel spotted tile. CONSTITUTION:Two or more kinds of powder materials 20 and 24 colored in a different color and hating a specified content of water are mixed, and then the mixture is compacted to form a nodular body 28 which is then disintegrated to produce an aggregated particle 30 for forming spots having a specified size. The aggregated particle 30 is mixed with a powder material 32 prepared separately and used for forming a base color, a tile compact is formed so that the mixed material forms at least a tile surface layer, and the compact is burnt.

Under the circumstances described above, the invention of the present application has been made to develop a method for producing a speckled pattern tile having a richer expression than ever before. Therefore, the invention of the present application is to mix two or more kinds of powder materials having a predetermined water content, which are colored in different colors, and further pressurize them to form lumps, which are then crushed to have a predetermined particle size. A secondary particle for spot formation is produced, and the secondary particle for spot formation is mixed with a separately prepared powder material for forming a base color so that the mixed material constitutes at least the tile surface layer portion. It is characterized in that a tile molded body is molded into a sheet and then fired (claim 1).

As described above, the invention of claim 1 is for forming spots by mixing and pressurizing two or more kinds of powder materials colored in different colors to make them into lumps, and further crushing them. The secondary particles having a predetermined particle size are produced, and the secondary particles are mixed with another powder material to form at least the surface layer portion of the tile.

According to a second aspect of the present invention, the same powder material as any one of the powder materials forming the internal pattern of the spots is mixed with the powder material forming the base color. According to the method, any one of a plurality of colors (one color or two or more colors) forming the internal pattern of spots is dispersed in the base color.

As a result, the internal pattern of the spots and the external pattern (base color pattern) are connected by the common color pattern contained therein. Therefore, unlike the conventional spot pattern, each spot does not float up from the surroundings, and each spot appears to be fused into the surrounding pattern (base color pattern), which cannot be obtained with the conventional spot pattern. A soft and complex deep speckled pattern is obtained.

The spot pattern can be formed only on the surface layer of the tile, but it can be formed over the entire tile. In the latter case, a tile molded body can be obtained by pressing the above mixed material as it is, and then a speckle pattern tile can be easily manufactured by subjecting this to a baking treatment.

Next, the mixed material 24 thus obtained is pressed by a pressing roller 26 to form a rice cake-shaped lump 28 (step (II)). The lump 28 has a thickness of, for example, 2.
The size is about 5 to 3 mm and the size is about 100 to 150 mm. Here, the lump 28 is obtained by simply pressurizing the mixed material 24 because each of the powder materials 20 and 22 contains a certain amount of water.

The secondary particles 30 having a predetermined particle size are granulated (step (III)).
Various means can be used as a crushing means. For example, as such a crushing means, a rice cracker-like lump 28 is rubbed against a predetermined reticulated body with a rotary blade, and the crushed body is decomposed and a predetermined grain size is passed through a mesh.
