従来の、運転席も助手席のサンバイザーは、ひよけとして役立っておりません。かえって前方が見ずらくなります。そこで、ひよけを調光サングラスを使用すれば、紫外線で色が濃くなり薄くなり、自由に変化します。現在では、電子調光素子（ＥＣＤ）サングラスも開発されています。ＥＣＤサングラスとは、スイッチを押すだけで、カラー濃度が自由自在で、紫外線の強い時でも暗い所でも両方に利用できます。ただひよけに色をつけただけでは暗い時（トンネル他）では不便です。 The conventional sun visor, which has both a driver's seat and a passenger's seat, does not serve as a hiding element.
