Abstract

The cassette visor is a portable extension that can be clipped to a production visor in a motor car which is adjustable in effective level to suit any stature and is especially suitable for the smaller person. The visor is made of tinted, transparent, light activated material and will protect the eyes from the glare of reflected sunlight and maintain vision reducing eye strain. <IMAGE>

Description

Cassette Visor This invention relates to a cassette visor extention.listing production sun visurs on vehicles are limited,and do not cater for varying heights of drivers. They do not stop dazzle from reflected rays of strong sun light on shiny surfaces of vehicles ahead. You can be temporarily blinded when rounding corners into the full glare of the sun. A large number of people dislike driving in sun glasses for one reason or another.
he cassette visor overcomes all of these problemsand is fully portable for transfer to different vehicles as it is clipped in place. The visor can be fully retracted into the cassette when not in use.If fully developed the cassette can be fully recesses into a solid visor becoming an integral part.
Drawing 1 Fig 1 shows the view of the visor.Refering to the drawing Fig1/1 is a transparent tinted, light activated, anti-glare and anti-dazzle strip.
The strip can be interchanged with different tints to achieve the one most comfortable to the user. Fig/2 is a plastic cassette in which the strip1#1 fully retracts into.The strip is held in a thin plastic surround 1/3,sliding on a sprung pvc strip Fig/4 with a retaining lug Fig1/5.
The cassette is held in place by 2 clips Fig 1/6 which is integral moulded with the cassette body Fig/2.
Drawing 2 Fig 2 shows the scope of the visor.In use the pivot angle at Fig 2/7 dictates the area of windscreen the transparent visor will cover Fig 2/8 fully extended to fig 2/9 fully retracted. '

  1. CLAIMS 1 The cassette visor is adjustable to suit a person of any stature.
  2. 2 the cassette visor is portable from vehicle to vehicle.
  3. 3 The cassette visor will stop dazzle from reflected rays off shiny surfaces of vehicles ahead.
