[Prior Art] A wick is vertically movably mounted in a gap of a wick containing cylinder, an appropriate number of air circulation holes are provided in a wall of the wick containing cylinder, and the wick is lowered below the air circulation hole. A proposal of the applicant is known from Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 49-47225, in which air is introduced from the air circulation hole into the gap to dilute the gasified petroleum gas from the wick to a non-combustible state to rapidly extinguish the oil.

This structure is effective as a fire extinguisher in an emergency such as an earthquake, but a large amount of unburned gas was released to the surroundings due to rapid fire extinction, and a strong foul odor was generated. For this reason, during normal fire extinguishing, the core is lowered to a position where the air circulation hole does not open to prevent rapid fire extinguishing, so that the extinguishing time becomes longer, and slow extinguishing is expected to prevent foul odors.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] By the way, when the lead is lowered into the lead containing cylinder, if the lead does not have an air through hole or the air through hole is blocked, the core is lowered into the gap from the upper portion of the lead containing cylinder. The air flows into the upper end of the wick to continue combustion for a while. At this time, since the gap is cylindrical, the air flows in so as to descend from some gaps, and the combustion gas flows in the other gaps. It is ascending and discharging, the position where the combustion flame at the upper end of the core is generated is not constant,
The flame is extinguished while continuing to burn so that it rotates around the upper end of the core, and incomplete combustion gas is generated during this period.

On the other hand, when the fire is extinguished, an air circulation hole is provided in the wick housing cylinder wall at a position higher than the upper end of the wick, and fresh air is supplied from the air circulation hole in the wick housing cylinder gap when the wick is lowered to reduce the combustible gas concentration. What is extinguished almost instantaneously is that which extinguishes a large amount of incomplete combustion gas because it extinguishes during combustion.

Further, in order that the fibrous core moves up and down, the core and the core housing cylinder cannot be completely brought into close contact with each other, a vertical insertion gap is required, and even if the air circulation hole is closed by the side surface of the core, Air is sucked from the air circulation hole through a minute gap between the wick and the wick containing cylinder, and a flame remains forever at the upper end of the wick whose core is lowered.

For this reason, there is a possibility that the amount of heat generated is large and the amount of intake air varies due to the difference in the draft of the combustion cylinder, and the fire extinguishing time during normal fire extinguishing may become abnormally long, or sometimes the fire may not be extinguished. It was In addition, on the contrary, there are cases where the fire extinguishes in a short time, which often causes the designer to cry.

[Means for Solving the Problem] This invention is not for rapid extinguishing the air circulation hole for supplying air to the wick containing tube gap, which has been conventionally used for rapid extinguishing.
It is used to stabilize the fire extinguishing time during normal fire extinguishing over a certain period of time. A wick 3 is mounted in the gap 2 of the wick housing cylinder 1 so that it can move up and down. The height is set to a different height, and it is higher than the core height during rapid fire extinguishing and lower than the core height during normal fire extinguishing.
In an oil combustor for rapid fire extinguishing, a fire extinguishing air circulation hole 5a communicating with the gap 2 is provided, and an air circulation hole 5a is opened by the wick 3 that has fallen down in an emergency, at a position higher than the air circulation hole 5a. An opening 4 communicating with the gap 2 is provided at a position higher than the core height during normal extinguishing, and the opening area of the opening 4 is extremely smaller than the opening area of the air circulation hole 5a, and
The opening 4 is not evenly formed all around the lead accommodating cylinder,
It is formed by tightly punching.

[Operation] This invention has an opening 4 separate from the air circulation hole 5a for rapid fire extinguishing in the wall of the wick housing 1 at a position higher than the height of the wick 3 for normal extinguishing a fire.
By providing the openings 4 sparsely and densely, the flow rate of air entering the gap 2 above the wick 3 when the core is lowered by extinguishing the fire is small in the sparse part, and the gas becomes thicker. In the dense part, the flow rate of air is large, and the phenomenon that the gas becomes thin occurs. Further, since air is introduced from the opening 4 into the gap 2 above the core 3, air is not introduced from the upper end of the gap 2.

Therefore, when the burning wick 3 descends, the combustion flame is drawn into the gap 2, and the flame remains in the sparse part to slowly extinguish the flame. Since there is almost no air inflow, the position of the flame is constant and does not dance, and incomplete combustion gas is hardly generated,
It was possible to prevent the generation of a strong odor.

Next, when the core is lowered by rapid fire extinguishing, not only the opening 4 but also the air circulation hole 5a is opened. Therefore, a large amount of air flows from the air circulation hole 5a into the gap 2 which is negative pressure due to the rapid core lowering. Since the concentration of combustible gas is diluted to a level where combustion cannot be continued, rapid extinguishing is performed almost at the same time as the core descent.

This invention is intended to prevent the generation of a foul odor during normal fire extinction in a general petroleum combustor having the above-described core lowering type automatic fire extinguishing mechanism. That is, 4 is an opening for fire extinguishing that is communicated with the outside air opened in the wick housing cylinder 1, and the wick 3 changes the stop position of the wick 3 during normal fire extinguishing and rapid extinguishing. The upper end position is lower than the air circulation hole 5a, the air circulation hole 5a and the opening 4 are open, while the upper end position of the wick 3 is higher than the air circulation hole 5a and lower than the opening 4 during normal fire extinguishing. As for the air circulation hole 5a,
Is open circuit.

Further, the opening 4 is extremely smaller than the opening area of the air circulation hole 5a, and the effect of rapid fire extinguishing cannot be obtained at all, and the opening 4 is not evenly formed over the entire circumference of the wick housing cylinder 1. It is formed by sparsely and densely forming the circumference, and has a function of preventing movement of the flame remaining on the upper end of the core 3.

The sparseness / denseness of the openings 4 may be increased or decreased by adding holes at intervals of several holes to the holes formed at equal intervals on the entire circumference of the core housing cylinder 1 as shown in FIG. 3 (a). Alternatively, as shown in FIG. 3 (b), it is possible to make sparse / dense by the size of the holes formed at equal intervals on the entire circumference. If the total opening area of the holes is increased, the fire is extinguished rapidly. Therefore, in the embodiment, the hole pitch is set to 10 to 15 mm, small holes of 1.5 mm are opened, and small holes of the same diameter are formed for every four small holes. Addition to form sparse / dense. As another embodiment, sparse / dense may be formed by arranging two large holes of 2.0 mm every two small holes. The positions and shapes of these small holes have different optimum values depending on the oil combustor to be implemented, and it is necessary to confirm by experiments.

[Explanation of effects] As described above, when the core is lowered by normal fire extinguishing, air enters irregularly into the gap from the top of the wick containing cylinder, or air enters from a small hole for rapid fire extinguishing, causing normal extinguishing. Although there was a great deal of variation in time, it was easy for the gas to be scattered before a fire was extinguished, and a bad odor was likely to occur. However, the opening of the device could prevent this drawback.

In this device, the flame at the upper end of the wick does not fluctuate or remain concentrated in one place when extinguishing the fire, and the flame remains on the entire circumference of the wick and extinguishes slowly. The gas burned reliably, and when the fire was completely extinguished, almost no odor was generated. The fire extinguishing time for not producing this bad odor varies depending on the oil combustor, but since the fire extinguishing time can be set by the pitch of the openings and the hole diameter, the effect of preventing the bad smell is recognized.
