造走行装置は、電磁石の励磁により円板型粘性ダンパが
上昇し、該ダンパのローラ軸に設けたローラがガイドレ
ールと接触することによる円板型粘性ダンパの制振で制
動が与えられるため、柔構造走行装置の停止時における
振幅を減少して停止時間が短縮され、又ローラがガイド
レールから離脱する制動の解除は電磁石のクラッチ作用
により行われるため制動の解放タイミングの制御が容易
となる等の効果を有する。
