Conventionally, for packaging liquid foods such as milk and juice,
A box-shaped container made of a sheet material based on paper, plastic, etc. is used. As a liquid packaging device using this box-shaped container, a band-shaped sheet material having a heat-adhesive resin coating on both sides is used as a raw roll. The strip-shaped sheet material is unfolded, folded in two in the longitudinal direction, and sealed in the lateral direction with an appropriate gap in the longitudinal direction. Then, the strip-shaped sheet material is cut in the lateral direction and cut off to open one end. A device is known in which a bag-shaped container is formed, the bag-shaped container is formed into a box-like shape, and then the container is held by a carrier and intermittently conveyed to fill and seal the contents in the container. (See JP-A-60-204424 and JP-A-61-81905).

By the way, as a carrier for holding and transporting the box-shaped container with the upper end opening, a box-shaped container that surrounds four side surfaces of the box-shaped container is usually used, and at the time of filling the container, forming the container opening, and sealing. The side surface of the container is restrained from bulging outward by restraining the side surface of the container during molding of the upper surface of the container. However, even if the outer surface of the box-shaped container is constrained by a box-shaped carrier, the final manufactured box-shaped package tends to have a shape in which the side surface and the upper surface bulge outwards a little, and the appearance deteriorates. There was an occasion.

Further, when the box-shaped carrier as described above is used, there is a problem that the mechanism for inserting the box-shaped container into the box-shaped carrier or the mechanism for discharging the sealed box-shaped package from the box-shaped carrier becomes complicated. In order to solve this problem, the present inventor has developed a liquid packaging device using a U-shaped carrier instead of a box-shaped carrier. In this device, both sides of the carrier are open, and therefore this part The side surface of the container was likely to bulge outward, and the appearance of the final box-shaped package tended to deteriorate.

In the liquid packaging device having the above configuration, the U-shaped carrier holds the box-shaped container, the U-shaped carrier intermittently conveys the box-shaped container, and the box-shaped container is filled with contents on the way, After sealing the upper end of the opening to seal the container and molding the upper end of the container into a flat shape, the triangular flap formed at that time was pressed against the outer surface of the container and joined to form a rectangular box-shaped package,
Further, the upper surface of the packaging body held by the U-shaped carrier is pressed by the upper surface press of the molding device, and at the same time, the side surfaces of the packaging body exposed at the open portions on both sides of the U-shaped carrier are pressed by the side surface press. As a result, the upper surface of the package is pressed by the upper surface,
The bottom surface is the bottom surface of the carrier, both side surfaces are side presses, and the front and back side surfaces in the carrier movement direction are constrained by U-shaped carriers.
Then, the six sides of the rectangular package are pressed, the ridge lines of the package are bent at right angles, and the side surfaces and the upper and lower surfaces are flat or slightly inwardly recessed. Moreover, since the upper surface press and the side surface press each include two pressing members for pressing the packages at the two carrier stop positions, each package is pressed twice and molded. Thus, a box-shaped container having a good appearance is manufactured.

Next, the operation of the entire liquid packaging device will be described. In FIG. 3, the strip-shaped sheet material 1 is fed from the original roll 2, and is intermittently fed by the fixed feed roller 9 at a fixed size. On the way, various processes are applied while the strip-shaped sheet material 1 is stopped. That is, first, a straw hole is formed in the band-shaped sheet material 1 from the inner surface side of the band-shaped sheet material 1 by the straw hole punching device 4, and the pull tab tape applying device 5 applies the pull tab tape to the outer surface of the straw hole. Thereafter, the date is printed by the date printing device 7 on the strip-shaped sheet material 1 to which the pull tab tape is attached, and the ruled lines are formed by the ruled line pushing device 8. These ruled lines form folds when molding into a box-shaped container.

The strip-shaped sheet material 1 that has passed the first drive roller 9 is intermittently fed by the second drive roller 16 at a constant size. At this time, theoretically, the constant feed by the first drive roller 9 and the constant feed by the second drive roller 16 are theoretically performed at the same timing, but in reality, they are slightly different due to the elongation of the belt-shaped sheet material. However, because the dancer roller 10 is interposed between the two, the vertical movement of the dancer roller 10 absorbs the error in intermittent feed by both drive rollers. Dancer laura
The strip-shaped sheet material 1 that has passed 10 is first sterilized on the inner surface side by the sterilization lamp 11, and then the sheet folding device.
It is folded in two by 12 and laterally sealed by the sealing device 13 at a predetermined interval, is horizontally changed by the direction changing roller 15, and is cut by cutting the center of the seal portion 14 by the cutting device 17. As a result, as shown in FIG. 4A, the bag-shaped container 18 having the seal portions 18A at both ends and having the straw hole 28 and the pull tab tape 29 attached thereon is formed.

When this container, that is, the package 18, stops at the station S11, the air cylinder 38 of the upper surface press 31 operates to lower the press member 37, and at the same time, the air cylinder 45 of the side surface press 32 also operates to move the press member 44 into the package 18 To move forward. This allows carrier 25
The upper pressing member 37 and the pressing members 44 on both sides are simultaneously pressed against the package 18 held by the upper and side surfaces of the package 18, and at this time, the package 18 has a bottom surface. And U-shaped carrier on the front and back in the direction of travel
Since it is constrained by 25, the six faces of the rectangular package 18 are eventually pressed, and the ridge lines of the package are bent at right angles,
Each side surface and the upper and lower surfaces are formed into a flat or slightly inwardly concave shape. Further, as can be seen clearly from FIG. 2, the upper surface press 31 and the side surface press 32 can simultaneously perform the molding operation on the two packages at the two stop positions.
The same package 18 will be molded twice. Thus,
A box-shaped package having a good appearance is produced.

In the above embodiment, each of the pair of side surface presses 32 provided on both sides of the carrier has an air cylinder 45 and press members.
Although 44 is configured to reciprocate laterally, the press member of one side press 32 is fixed at a fixed position, and only the press member of the other side press 32 is reciprocated to make a fixed press member and a movable press. The container may be sandwiched between the member and the member. Further, depending on the contents to be filled in the container, there is a case where the container (packaging body) is filled in a high temperature state and is still in a hot state when reaching the station S11. In such a case, it is preferable to cool the package or the pressing members 37, 44 with water. When the package is cooled, the side surfaces, the upper and lower surfaces of the package are slightly recessed, and there is an advantage that the package sits well when the package is erected and conveyed in a later process.

The liquid packaging apparatus of the above embodiment is a series of apparatuses for manufacturing a box-shaped container from a band-shaped sheet having paper as a base material, and filling and sealing the container with liquid, but the present invention is not limited to this case. It goes without saying that a box-shaped container having the shape shown in FIG. 4B may be formed in advance by another device, and the box-shaped container may be supplied to fill and seal the device. Further, the triangular flap at the lower end of the box-shaped container may be previously joined instead of being joined to the side surface of the container after filling the contents.

Further, since the pressing member has a convex shape on the upper surface of the box-shaped package, the upper surface of the package can be formed to have a shape that is slightly recessed inward, and the appearance can be improved. Furthermore, since the upper surface press and the side surface press for pressing the upper surface and the side surface of the package are respectively provided with two pressing members for pressing the package at the two carrier stop positions, each package is pressed twice. It is possible to perform good molding by pressing each one, and since the two press members are attached to a common lifting plate or moving plate, it is possible to make the mechanism for moving the structure simple. It also has the effect that it can be done.
