For example, a method of spray coating polyvinyl chloride sol or the like on the bottom surface of an automobile floor for the purpose of rust-proof and sound-proof and vibration-proofing, and then heat-gelling it to form a polyvinyl chloride coating film is applied. However, holes such as water drain holes and bolt holes are provided on the bottom surface of the floor, and it is necessary to prevent the polyvinyl chloride sol from entering the holes.

Since the hole connecting masking material (10) of the present invention has a taper whose diameter gradually decreases toward the tip, the connecting portion (2) has the smallest diameter when integrally connected in the same direction. In order to mask the hole portion (4) with the connection masking material (10), hold the connection masking material (10) in the hand and make the hole ( It fits in 4). Since the plug-like masking material (1) A has a taper whose diameter gradually decreases toward the tip as described above, the fitting into the hole (4) is extremely easy.
Then, the frontmost plug-like masking material (1) A is broken off from the connecting portion (2) between the plug-like masking material (1) A and the next plug-like masking material (1) A that is connected to the plug-like masking material (1) A. Since the connecting portion (2) of the plug-like masking material (1) A has the smallest diameter portion as described above and is made of a hard and brittle hard thermoplastic foam material, the plug-like masking material (1) Breaking off of A is extremely easy. Then, the most advanced plug-like masking material (1) A is fitted into the hole (4), and the next plug-like masking material (1) A connected to the plug-like masking material (1) A is The plug-shaped masking material (1) A is fitted in the hole (4) to be the next object, and is cut off from the plug-shaped masking material (1) A which is similarly connected.

Since the plug-like masking material (1) A of the present invention is made of the solid hard thermoplastic foam as described above, when it is fitted in the hole (4), it is pressed against the peripheral wall of the hole (4) to foam. As the structure is destroyed, it is deformed in the direction of diameter reduction, so that the peripheral wall of the hole (4) bites into the masking material (1) A and the impact resilience is uniform around the plug-like masking material (1) A. The plug-like masking material (1) A is firmly attached to the hole (4) though it is easily attached and detached due to the appropriate surface friction coefficient of the foam. Furthermore, the hard foam, which is the material of the masking material, can be shrunk to a small volume by heating above the softening point, and can be easily pierced with a handclaw or the like.

Therefore, in the present invention, it is no longer necessary to pick up the plug-like masking material with each finger and fit it into the hole, the masking work can be performed extremely smoothly, the fatigue of the operator is reduced, and mass production is continued. The masking material is extremely suitable for the process, and the masking material is stably and firmly fixed to the holes to reliably mask the holes. Furthermore, the plug-like masking material of the present invention can be shrunk to a small volume by heating above the softening point, and it can be easily pierced with a handcuff or the like, and the removal work can be greatly rationalized.

The connection masking material (10) has the end in the diameter reduction direction of each tapered plug-like masking material (1) A as the forefront, and the connection masking material (10) can be masked by, for example, FIG. As shown in Figure 5, the length of the plug-like masking material (1) A, which is easy to hold by hand, is cut off at the five connected parts (referred to as the partial connection masking material (10) A). (1) A is fitted into the target hole (4) of the member (3), and the most advanced plug-like masking material (1) A
Is broken off from the connecting portion (2) between the second plug-like masking material (1) A. Since the plug-like masking material (1) A has a taper whose diameter decreases toward the tip, it is extremely easy to fit the plug-like masking material (1) A into the hole (4). Since the plug-like masking material (1) A is connected in the same direction, the connecting portion (2) is the smallest diameter portion of the connecting masking material (10),
Moreover, since the rigid and brittle hard thermoplastic foam is used as the material, the plug-like masking material (1) A can be easily broken off. In this way, as shown in FIG. 3, when the plug-like masking material (1) A at the leading edge is fitted into the hole (4) in this manner, the next plug-like masking material (1) A becomes at the leading edge. Since it is located, as shown in FIG. 4, the masking material (1) A is fitted into the other target hole (4) and is similarly broken off. In this way, the plug-like masking material (1) A is successively fitted into the plurality of holes (4). Since the plug-like masking material (1) A is made of the solid hard thermoplastic foam as described above, when it is fitted into the hole (4) as shown in FIG. 5, the hole (4) When pressed against the peripheral wall of the plug, the foam structure is destroyed and deformed in the direction of diameter reduction. The peripheral wall of the hole (4) has the plug-like masking material (1)
The plug-like masking material (1) A that bites into A and is uniformly applied to the plug-like masking material (1) A around it, and the foam has an appropriate surface friction coefficient. 1) A is firmly fixed to the hole (4) and masking is surely performed. After that, surface treatment is carried out to form a surface-treated film (5) as shown in FIG. 6, and the plug-like masking material (1) is heated to a temperature above the softening point of the thermoplastic resin constituting the plug-like masking material (1) A. (1) A is softened, and at the same time, air and foaming agent gas contained therein are removed to shrink as shown in FIG. 7, and when the hole (4) is a bolt hole, it is shown in FIG. When the bolt (6) is screwed into the hole (4) as described above, the plug-like masking material softening shrinkage (1) B is formed into the hole along with the surface treatment film (5) A covering the hole (4). Excluded from section (4). The plug-like masking material (1) A is easily pierced by a handcuff, so it may be removed from the hole (4) using a handcuff.

The rigid thermoplastic foam used in the connection masking material of the present invention is preferably polystyrene foam. Since the polystyrene foam is hard and brittle, it is easy to separate the plug-like masking materials from each other and easily soften and shrink by heating when spontaneously dropping. Further, there is a method of peeling by catching with a hand key or the like without performing natural detachment, but at this time, the hand key easily bites into the plug-like masking material.

The surface of the connection masking material of the present invention is coated with an anti-sticking agent such as a water-soluble polymer, DFK resin, or modified paint to prevent the softened shrinkage material of the masking material from being fused to the holes. May be.
