たる例えば自動車車体のフロアパネルa下面にア
ンダーコート塗装を行う際、該パネルaに形成さ
れる水抜き孔やねじ孔等の孔bに塗料が侵入して
車内を汚すことのないよう該マスキング本体1′
を予めこれら孔bに嵌合させておき、塗膜cの焼
付乾燥時に炉内で該マスキング本体1′がその収
縮変形により自然脱落されるようにしたものを提
案した。

うため、カツプ部2′周面が孔bの縁部に軽く当
接する程度にしか該本体1′を押入できず、該本
体1′の孔bへの食い付きが弱くなつて脱落し易
くなり、結局該本体1′を使用できるのは所定径
の孔bだけになる。

ル、ポリプロピレン、ポリエチレン等の0.2mm〜
2mm厚の熱可塑性合成樹脂フイルムを用い、これ
を軟化点以上で融点以下の温度に加熱した状態で
絞り成形して急冷することにより該本体1を形成
しても良く、これによれば該本体1に絞り成形に
伴う内部応力が残留し、該本体1が炉内で加熱さ
れるとその内部応力により成形前の形状、即ち平
面状に戻ろうとして収縮変形する。

状はこれに限るものではなく、例えば第5図及び
第6図に示すようにカツプ部2の全周に亘る環状
の凸部4を上下複数段に形成しても勿論良い。

入して加熱したとき、マスキング本体1はその収
縮変形で確実に孔bから脱落する。

とが可能となり、焼付乾燥炉内での該本体の脱落
を確実にすることができる効果を有する。
