As a method for solving these problems, there is a method of removing toner and other stains adhering to the surface of the heat-fixing roll by supplying toner to the surface of the heat-fixing roll and silicon oil for enhancing the peeling property of the paper and then performing cleaning. . However, in the case of the above (a), not only the toner and the like cannot be removed sufficiently, but also the next toner adheres on the residual toner, the peeling of the paper becomes worse, the winding around the roll increases, and the copied image becomes large. There will be more dirt on. Also in the case of (b) above, the cleaning effect is not sufficient, and the disadvantages of increasing the size of the device and increasing the cost due to the division of the oil application and the cleaning action become large. On the other hand, in the case of (c) and (d) in which oil application and cleaning are performed at the same time, felt, woven fabric,
Due to the small total area of cleaning parts such as paper,
Maintenance cycle is shortened and running cost is increased. Further, in order to increase the cleaning area, it is necessary to increase the roll diameter, which has the drawback of increasing the size of the apparatus.

A roll has been proposed, but since the cleaning roll exerts strength in the winding direction, the direction of the fibrous web is only a parallel web that is the same as the rotation direction of the heat fixing roll. Since the friction coefficient of the roll is small and the physical action of cleaning is small, the effect is insufficient. Further, since the aromatic polyamide fiber has high rigidity and is hard, the surface of the fixing roll is abraded, and the hard surface layer such as tetrafluoroethylene coated on the surface of the roll is generally abraded, and the life of the roll is increased. It had the drawback of shortening.

A laminated web of bidirectional cross webs (hereinafter referred to as criss cloth) composed of a parallel web layer, 60 to 90% by weight of aliphatic polyamide fibers or polyester fibers or mixed fibers of both, and 40 to 10% by weight of unstretched polyester binder fibers. The parallel web side of the fibrous sheet formed by heat-pressing the (web) is a high-density, high-strength fiber layer, and the cross-web side is a heat-resistant fiber layer of lower density than the parallel web side. Silicone oil is impregnated into the dry non-woven fiber sheet in an amount of 50 to 130% by weight based on the weight of the non-woven fiber sheet, and the cleaning is performed. A growl sheet was formed. The cross-web side of a cleaning roll formed by winding a predetermined amount of this cleaning sheet around a core having a diameter of 10 mm is brought into contact with a heating and fixing roll, and is gradually wound at a constant cycle to improve the peelability of toner and paper. The application of silicon oil for enhancing and the cleaning are simultaneously performed, and the tetrafluoroethylene coating layer on the surface of the fixing roll is wiped off without being scratched to perform the cleaning action. Further, by appropriately blending the high-strength, rigid aromatic polyamide fiber or aromatic polyester fiber and the low-oriented polyester fiber (unstretched polyester binder fiber), the tensile strength in the winding direction and the durability are improved. Furthermore, the low density on the cross-web side makes it excellent in oil impregnation retention performance. The above problems have been solved by obtaining a cleaning roll which has a low running cost due to long-life maintenance such as the above, and which can reduce the size of the apparatus. The cross angle α of the cross web in the present invention is preferably 0 ° <α ≦ 90 ° as shown in FIG. 1, and when 90 <α ≦ 180 °, the physical effect during the cleaning action is often improved. Can't hope

In some cases, the cleaned toner, dust, etc. cannot enter between the fibers and may adhere to the fixing roll again. Also, since the amount of silicone oil impregnated is small, the amount of oil applied to the fixing roll is small, and the peeling property of toner and paper is not improved.
