In BP, there are problems such as smearing of images due to toner adhering to the surface of the heat fixing roll, and wrapping of paper around the roll caused by resin components of the toner fused to the roll surface. As a way to solve these problems,
There is a method of removing toner and other stains adhering to the surface of the heating and fixing roll by supplying silicone oil that enhances the releasability of toner and paper to the surface of the heating and fixing roll and then cleaning the roll. However, in the case of (a) above, not only is it not possible to remove toner etc. sufficiently, but the next toner adheres on top of the remaining toner, making it worse to peel off the paper, causing more wrapping around the roll, and copying images. There will also be more dirt. Also, in the case of (b) above, the cleaning effect is not sufficient, and the demerit of increasing the size and cost of the apparatus due to the separation of oil application and cleaning functions is significant. On the other hand, in the case of (c) and (d) above, where oil application and cleaning are performed at the same time, felt,
Due to the small total area of cleaning parts such as textiles, paper, etc., maintenance cycles are shortened and running costs are increased. Furthermore, in order to increase the cleaning area, the diameter of the roll must be increased, which has the disadvantage of increasing the size of the apparatus.

As shown in the publication, a winding type nonwoven cleaning roll pre-impregnated with silicone oil and using aromatic polyamide fibers and undrawn polyester binder fibers has been proposed. In order to achieve strength in the pick-up direction, only parallel webs are used in which the orientation of the fiber web is the same as the rotational direction of the heat-fixing roll, so the coefficient of friction between the heat-fixing roll and the cleaning roll is small, and the physical action of cleaning is reduced. The effect is insufficient because of the small size.

It had the disadvantage of shortening its lifespan.

Parallel web layer and aliphatic polyamide fiber or polyester fiber or mixed fiber of both 60 to 90
Weight% and unstretched polyester binder fiber 40-10
The parallel web side of a fiber sheet formed by heat-pressing a laminated web of bidirectional cross webs (hereinafter referred to as Criss Floss webs) composed of A cleaning roll sheet is prepared by impregnating silicone oil in an amount of 50 to 130% by weight based on the weight of the nonwoven fiber sheet to the porous and soft dry nonwoven fiber sheet, forming a low density, heat resistant and bulky fiber layer from the side. Formed. The cross-web side of the cleaning roll, which is formed by winding a predetermined amount of this cleaning sheet around a core with a diameter of 10 squares, is brought into contact with a heating fixing roll, and by gradually winding it up at a constant cycle, the release of toner and paper is improved. The coating and cleaning of silicone oil to increase the image quality are performed at the same time, and the cleaning action is performed by wiping off the 47-fluorinated ethylene coating layer on the surface of the fixing roll without damaging it.

Furthermore, by lowering the density of the cross web side, running costs are low due to long-life maintenance such as 0 etc., which has excellent oil impregnation retention performance, and the equipment can be downsized. did.

Furthermore, the cleaned toner, dust, etc. cannot enter between the fibers and may adhere to the fixing roll again. or,
Since the amount of silicone oil impregnated is reduced, the amount of oil applied to the fixing roll is reduced, and the releasability of toner and paper is not improved.

The cleaning effect and image stains were determined by making 30 copies without a cleaning device, attaching the cleaning roll obtained in the Examples and Comparative Examples, making 10 copies, visually comparing the fixing roll and the copied images. Judgment was made using a graded evaluation. In addition, the degree of wear of the fixing roll was determined by copying 50,000 copies, then copying 10 copies without using a cleaning roll, visually judging the dirt on the fixing roll, and evaluating the degree of repellency of the 47F chemical tyrene coating layer on a five-point scale. It was judged.
