問題が生じている。即ち、電気接続箱は設置場所のスペ
ースの関係からその大きさが制限されており、その制約
の中で、自動車の電装品が増加すると、ヒューズやリレ
ーなどの発熱部品が増え、かつ電気接続箱内の接続回路
の密度も高くなる。特に、ヒューズの可溶部やリレーの
コイル部は発熱量が大きい。このため、発熱部品や端子
接続部などの発熱源が多くなるだけでなく、発熱量も大
きくなる。その結果、局所的な過熱が発生してケース本
体などの溶損や変形を引き起こしたり、ケース内に熱が
こもり、ヒューズやリレーの機能を損ねるなどの問題が

している。この放熱部品11は、発熱電気部品である2
個のリレー3の間の空隙にその弾力性を利用して挿入、
保持されているが、そのために、放熱部品11の厚さD
は、リレー3、3の間隔よりも若干大きめにしておく。
また、放熱部品11のリレー3に対向する面の長さL
は、リレー3の面の長さよりも大きくする。こうするこ
とにより、2個のリレー3からの発熱は、放熱部品11
により周囲の空間に放熱され、電気接続箱内の局部的な
高温部の発生を防ぐ。ここで、熱伝導性がよく、弾力性
のある樹脂材料としては、例えば、シリコーンゴムに無
