Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a deodorant possible to keep deodorizing action for a long time and to achieve sufficient deodorizing effect with little usage, by using botanical substance which contains coumalin, folic acid, abietic acid, hinokitiol, green tea flavonoid and other non-volatile matters by a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:A botanical substance containing coumalin about 5%, folic acid about 10%, abietic acid about 30%, hinokitiol about 5%, green tea flavonoid about 20% and other nonvolatile matters about 28% in weight is used as the deodorant component. This deodorant can keep deodorant action for a comparatively long time and achieve the deodorizing effect same as a conventional chemical deodorant. Moreover, it is completely no toxic to a human body since its effective component consists of botanical matters.

2. Description of the Related Art The bad odors generated from simple toilets and kitchen garbage are extremely unpleasant, and various deodorant means have been developed to eliminate these bad odors. There are known masking means for forming a thin film of a substance to trap the odor and adsorption means for absorbing the odor using activated carbon or zeolite.

However, deodorization by the adsorbing means makes it difficult to adsorb all bad odors, and a sufficient deodorizing effect cannot be expected. In addition, the deodorizing effect of the masking means is temporarily superior to that of the adsorbing means, but since the thin film is fragile, it may be broken after a lapse of time or when excrement or the like is newly added. The deodorizing effect cannot be maintained for a long time. As a means for solving such problems, a chemical deodorizing means using a deodorant that reacts with perishable malodorous substances such as ammonia and mercaptan is also adopted, but the deodorant efficiency is poor and the amount of malodorous substances is low. When the amount is large, a large amount of deodorant must be used, which is economically problematic.

[Means for Solving the Problems] To achieve this object, the present inventor has focused on plant substances and conducted experiments using various plant substances. Coumarin was about 7% and folic acid was about 7%. 10% and abietic acid about 30%, hinokitiol about 5%, green tea flavonoids about 20% and other non-volatile components (various terpenes / various vitamins) at a weight ratio of about 28%. It has been found that the object of the present invention is sufficiently achieved by using it as a deodorant component.

Coumarin is contained in a relatively large amount in pine, cypress or cedar, and abietic acid can be extracted from pine tar. Folic acid is contained in most leaves, but is relatively large in pine needles. A large amount of hinokitiol can be extracted from cypress family plants, and a large amount of green tea flavonoids can be extracted from tea trees. Other non-volatile components include paraffin, wax and vitamin A.

The plant substance used in the present invention is obtained by mixing a leaf or bark of pine, tea or the like in an appropriate amount with an alcohol,
Extraction can be performed using an extraction solvent such as acetone or water, and the solvent can be separated and taken out from the extract. A solution type deodorant can be constituted by adding an appropriate amount of water or the like to the obtained plant extract substance, but if the extraction solvent is water, use the extract liquid containing the plant extract substance as it is, and The deodorant can also be constituted by adding an appropriate amount of water or the like according to the above. The deodorant mold of the present invention may be a solution, paste or powder.
