2. Description of the Related Art A conventional ice maker has a system in which ice-making brine containing no ice is supplied to the ice maker to make ice in the ice maker. Therefore, it was not necessary to adjust the ice slurry concentration of the ice making brine supplied to the ice making machine, but on the other hand, the ice making machine might be blocked due to overcooling.

As described above, the mixing tank for stirring and mixing the ice-making brine supplied from the heat storage tank and the grain ice made by the ice-making device, the concentration meter for measuring the concentration of the ice slurry in the mixing tank, and the ice slurry in the mixing tank By controlling the amount of ice-making brine supplied into the mixing tank by comparing the concentration with a preset ice slurry concentration, stable operation can be performed without blocking the ice-making device. Also, the cooling capacity is improved. Here, as the densitometer, one using a refraction phenomenon of light, one obtained from a thermal change in melting of ice, one utilizing a density difference between ice and liquid, and the like can be used.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. In FIG. 1, reference numeral 1 denotes a mixing tank, and an ice-making brine B is supplied from a heat storage tank (not shown) to the mixing tank 1 through a pump 2 and a control valve 3, while the grain ice made by an ice-making device 5 i is supplied.

The ice-making brine B and the grain ice i are stirred by a stirrer 4 provided in the mixing tank 1 to form a uniform ice slurry S. The concentration of this ice slurry S is measured by a densitometer 6
Is input by the controller 7. The controller 7 controls the control valve 3 by comparing the input value (5 to 15%) with the value measured by the densitometer 6. A part of the ice slurry S in the mixing tank 1 pumped up by the pump 8 is cooled by the refrigerant of the refrigerator 9 while passing through the ice making device 5 to become the grain ice i and returned to the mixing tank 1. Most of the ice slurry S is returned to the heat storage tank by the pump 10.

As described above, by adjusting the ice slurry concentration of the ice making brine supplied to the ice making device 5 within the range of 5 to 15%, unstable supercooling does not occur, so that the ice making device caused by supercooling Blockage within 5 is prevented. In addition, since ice is produced without supercooling due to the presence of seed crystals, the cooling capacity during ice making operation is larger than that during ice making operation.

As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to prevent clogging of the ice maker due to overcooling, and to operate the ice maker stably. Also, the cooling capacity during the ice making operation has been improved.
