2. Description of the Related Art Epoxy resin compositions have been widely used for casting electric and electronic parts. These resin compositions contain a filler together with an epoxy resin and other additives. Since this filler generally has a larger specific gravity than the resin, it has a drawback that it sediments during storage of the composition and separates from the resin. Various antisettling agents have been used to improve this, but are not in satisfactory condition. For example, in a system in which the filler exceeds 200 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the epoxy resin, there is a drawback that impregnation of the resin into the coil or the like is poor due to the influence of the anti-settling agent.

DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been made in order to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks, and is an epoxy resin cast product in which a filler is uniformly highly filled and which is excellent in the impregnation property into a coil or the like. The (C) alumina powder used in the present invention preferably has a particle size of 0.5 to 3 mm. Further, the shape of the alumina powder is preferably amorphous and does not include particles having a particle size larger or smaller than the above range, and those having a uniform particle size are preferable. If the particle size is less than 0.5 mm or more than 3 mm, close packing is likely to occur and the fluidity of the filler is impaired, which is not preferable.

The epoxy resin composition used in the present invention contains the above-mentioned epoxy resin, curing agent, and alumina powder as essential components, but pigments, coupling agents, defoaming agents and other fillers are used within the range not deviating from the object of the present invention. Materials and the like can be added and compounded. An epoxy resin composition can be easily manufactured by blending each of these components. When manufacturing an actual cast product, do not make an epoxy resin composition containing each of these components, but make an epoxy resin component excluding the internal filler of each component, and fill the casting mold with the filler in advance. Filling,
Then, this epoxy resin component is cast and heat-cured, and as a result, a cast product made of an epoxy resin composition containing an epoxy resin, a curing agent and alumina powder as essential components is produced.

The epoxy resin composition used in the present invention has excellent impregnating ability by using an amorphous alumina powder having a predetermined particle size. That is, by using the alumina powder having an irregular shape and a uniform particle size, it is possible to always maintain the fluidity of the resin by forming a gap without the packing material being the closest packing. In addition, since the filler has an indeterminate shape, it is possible to form a gap between the particles of the filler that allows the resin to always pass therethrough, and the impregnating property is further improved by the synergistic effect of the filler having a uniform particle size. By making the epoxy resin composition the final casting product and filling the casting mold with the filler in advance, the filler can be highly filled.
