This type of device uses a rail laid between the left and right ridges that sandwich the tea tree ridge as a pair of tracks, and has a gate-shaped structure that straddles the tea tree ridge between left and right track carriages that move along the rails. A frame is erected, and a plucking device equipped with a mowing section and a tea leaf storing section over the entire surface of the tea tree ridge is vertically movably attached to the portal frame. Then, when plucking the tea leaves, the track carriage is advanced with the cutting blade lowered to the plucking depth of the tea tree ridge, and the tea leaves are plucked by this forward movement and the plucked tea leaves are stored in a bag. When the process proceeds and the plucking work on the predetermined route is completed, the cutting and tea leaf storage parts are raised to a predetermined height, the tea leaf plucking machine is returned to the work start end at high speed, and the stored tea leaf bags are replaced. , I am going to move to the next plucking work.

At this time, the weight of the tea leaves stored in the tea leaf bag causes the bottom plate of the tea leaf storage portion and the bag placing table to bend downward, causing a problem of contacting the plucking surface of the tea tree ridges during back running and damaging the tea trees. . This problem can be solved by raising the tea leaf storage unit and the bag placing table to a high level when the vehicle travels back, but when raising it to a high level, the bag for storing the tea leaves, which is a heavy item, becomes high and when returning at a high speed. The problem arises that the driving stability of the vehicle deteriorates.
