スト型の液晶表示装置において、一方の基板の内面に所
定の小領域とそれ以外の面のラビング方向が直交するよ
うに配向処理を施す一方、偏光方向が前記所定の小領域
のラビング方向と直交するように偏光板を配設して、表
示面の一部に無着色領域をつくるようにしたことを特徴
とするものである。
