Description
Claims (7)
- (1)送信用のビデオ信号のコード化方法において、送信用のコード化されビデ オデータを提供するため基体層量子化ステップサイズを有する基体層量子化器を 含む基体層コード化動作によりビデオ信号を示すデータをコード化し、コード化 されたビデオデータで逆基体層コード化動作を実行することにより逆にコード化 されたビデオデータを得て、ビデオ信号および逆のコード化されたビデオデータ を示すデータから差データを得て、 差データのエネルギが基体層の量子化ステップサイズに反比例する可変しきい値 を超過するときのみ増強層のコード化動作により差データをコード化する送信用 のビデオ信号のコード化方法。
- (2)増強層コード化動作が量子化を含む請求項1記載の方法。
- (3)基体層に含まれる量子化ステップサイズがビデオ信号の画像の一部を示す データの増強層量子化ステップサイズと同一に選択的に設定される請求項2記載 の方法。
- (4)画像が概念的に一連の部分に分離され、ビデオ信号データの各画像に対し て画像の部分のうち1つが増強層量子化ステップと同一に設定される基体層コー ド化動作の量子化ステップサイズで処理される請求項3記載の方法。
- (5)ビデオ信号を示すデータはそれ自体ビデオ信号のコード化の表示である請 求項1乃至4のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- (6)ビデオ信号を示すデータがビデオ信号の表示のDCTコード化である請求 項5記載の方法。
- (7)送信用のビデオ信号のコード化のための装置において、送信用のコード化 したビデオデータを提供するため基体層量子化ステップサイズを有する基体層量 子化器を含む基体層コード化動作によりビデオ信号を示すデータをコード化する 手段と、 コード化したビデオデータで逆の基体層のコード化動作を実行することにより逆 にコード化したビデオデータを得て、ビデオ信号および逆にコード化したビデオ データを示すデータから差データを得て、 差データのエネルギが基体層量子化ステップサイズに反比例する可変しきい値を 超過するときのみ増強層のコード化動作により差データをコード化し、 コード化したビデオデータの逆の基体層コード化動作を実行することにより逆コ ード化ビデオデータを得る手段と、ビデオ信号および逆のコード化ビデオデータ とを示すデータからの差データを得る手段と、 差データのエネルギが基体層量子化ステップサイズに反比例するしきい値を超過 するときのみ増強層のコード化動作により差データをコード化する手段とを具備 する送信用のビデオ信号のコード化のための装置。
