Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure the snow fall intensity by utilizing normal electrodes and a temperature detecting element. CONSTITUTION:Electrodes 1 for detecting the snow fall and a heater 2 for melting snow are arranged at the upper section of an insulator, and a temperature detecting element 3 and a heater 4 controlling its portion at a constant temperature are arranged at the lower section. When snow falls and water is stuck to the temperature control portion, the temperature of this portion is lowered, the heater is controlled to return the temperature to the original temperature, and the snow fall intensity is judged based on the consumed power quantity.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, detectors for small-scale road heating mainly detect the presence or absence of snowfall, but not the snowfall intensity. There are many problems such as ultrasonic type and optical type for meteorological observation, but they are not suitable for small-scale road heating because of the high cost due to the method.

−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−−− The parts where water flows are individually detected by controlling the temperature at a constant temperature and calculating the amount of electric power used for them. It is a source of information for accurate control, enriching the information in the ting. In addition, the snowfall intensity meter is suitable for small-scale road heating detectors because the entire structure is simple and inexpensive because it can be realized simply by arranging electrodes, respective heaters and temperature detection elements.

The principle structure of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. First
In the figure, 1 is an electrode for detecting snowfall, and 2 is a heater for melting snow. The melted water flows down,
It flows on the temperature detection element 3 of FIG. Therefore, the temperature is detected by this, and the heater of 4 is controlled so as to maintain a constant temperature.

In FIG. 2, an AC voltage is first applied to the first electrode. When snow falls and falls on electrode 1, when it falls, it is melted by heater 2 and the impedance between electrodes 1 decreases. As the impedance drops, an AC voltage is transmitted, which is amplified by 5 and becomes a signal indicating the presence or absence of snow.
Next, the melted water flows downward as it is, and passes over the temperature detecting element 3 described above. As a result, the temperature of that part drops and a difference from the set temperature occurs, so the differential amplifier 7 outputs 8
The heater controller of 4 is controlled to control the heater of 4 so that the temperature becomes constant. At this time, the output of the differential amplifier of 7 becomes a signal of snowfall intensity.

1) By arranging a temperature detecting element and a heater in addition to a normal electrode, it is possible to easily detect both snowfall and snowfall intensity with one detector. 2) Since two different signals are output, it is possible to operate the small-scale load heating system more effectively. 3) Since it is an all-in-one structure, it can be made smaller and less expensive.
