Abstract
PURPOSE:To sense securely whether it snows or not, by providing such as a moisture detecting means, a temperature detecting means of detecting the outdoor temperature is now lower than the temperature at which rain changes into snow. CONSTITUTION:When the outdoor temperature falls down to the snowfall temperature, a heating current is applied to heater 8 via heater control circuit 15 in response to a detection signal from temperature detector 1 to heat water collector 7. Then, if it snows or if rain changes into snow, snow on surface 7B of water collected in water collector 7 is melted by being heated by heater 8 and led to water detector 2 via water pipe 7A. Then, the detected output signal of water detector 2 and that of temperature detector 1 are subjected to AND operation by signal processor 3 to sense whether it snows or not. In this constitution, an electric snowfall sense signal is generated by securely sensing the snowfall, so that the excellent snowfall sensor is obtained.
