また、本発明の請求項2記載の転写・定着装置は、上記
のように構成されているので、転写ベルトは定着部へ入
る前に補正部材のコロにより幅方向へ広げられるように
なり、転写ベルトの片寄りや蛇行が抑制される。

【特許請求の範囲】[Claims] 【請求項1】 感光体の近傍に配された転写用ローラ
と、定着部に配された定着用ローラと、転写用ローラお
よび定着用ローラにエンドレス回転可能に掛け渡され、
転写用ローラにより感光体に圧接される中間転写体とし
ての転写ベルトとを備え、 さらに、転写用ローラおよび定着用ローラのうちの少な
くとも一方のローラの端部に設けられ、転写ベルトの幅
方向の位置を決めるフランジと、 転写ベルトの内側で各ローラ軸に対して所定の傾斜角を
保って設けられた少なくとも1つの支持軸およびこの支
持軸に回転可能に取り付けられ転写ベルトの内面に摺接
しながら転写ベルトとともに回転する複数のコロを有
し、回転中の転写ベルトを前記フランジへ向けて寄せる
少なくとも1つの補正部材とを具備してなる転写・定着
装置。

らの支持軸に回転可能に取り付けられ転写ベルトの内面
に摺接しながら転写ベルトとともに回転する複数のコロ
を有し、回転中の転写ベルトを幅方向へ広げる少なくと
も一組の補正部材を具備してなる転写・定着装置。
