当接面8の下方には脚部9を設けてある。かかる壁当接
面8は外壁1に当接したとき外装材2が外壁1に対して
所定の角度で傾斜する面にしてある。外装材2の前面側
には上下に第1凹段部10と第2凹段部11とを設けて
ある。外装材2の下部の裏面側には上記係合片7に係合
する係合体12を連出してある。外装材2の下部の背面
側には第1突片13と第2突片14とを上下に設けてあ
る。外壁1は複数本の間柱間にグラスウールのような断
熱材を充填し、外面側に通気性防水シート15を張って
形成されている。スペーサ3は硬質ウレタン発泡体のよ
うな合成樹脂の硬質発泡体にて形成され、上部程厚さが
薄く下部程厚さが厚くなるテーパ状に形成されている。

との間に夫々エアポケット5が形成されてエアポケット
5にて重ね合わせ部から雨水が浸入するのを防止でき
る。基礎17上の土台18にはスタータ兼用の土台水切
り19を装着してある。軒天井20と最上部の外装材2
との間には見切り縁21を装着してある。なお外壁1と
外装材2との間の空間は係合体12と係合片7との間の
隙間にて連通していて外気との間で通気が行なわれて結
露しない。ところで複数枚の外装材2を外壁1の外面に
よろい下見張り上に張っていくと外壁1の上下寸法によ
っては最上部に取り付ける外装材2が入らないことが起
こる。このとき軒天井20と最上部の下に位置する外装
材2の上端との間隔に合わせて外装材2の上部を切断し
て切断した上下長さの短い外装材2aを形成し、この外
装材2aの長さに応じて第3図に示すようにスペーサ3
の上部を切断し、第2図に示すように外壁1の外面側に
スペーサ3を介して外装材2aを配置し、外装材2aの
下部の係合体12を下の外装材2の上端の係合片7に係
合し、外装材2aの前面からスペーサ3を介して外壁1
に釘、ビス等の固着具4を打入して外装材2aを取り付
けてある。固着具4を打入するとき外装材2aの前面に
凹所23を設けておき、この凹所23から固着具4を打
入して固着具4の頭部を凹所23内に位置させ、凹所2
