Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate connecting operation of pipes from the ground outside a dug ditch in the case where a pipeline is laid inside the ditch which is dug on the ground. CONSTITUTION:A holding member 9 on an insertion port side is held at the outer peripheral surface of an insertion port 7 formed at the end of one pipe 4 to be connected. A taper ring member 8 having an inner circumferential tapered surface 28 for guiding insertion of the insertion port 7 into a receiving port 6 is held at the outer peripheral surface of the receiving port 6 formed at the end of the other pipe 3 to be connected. Means are provided in the holding member 9 on the insertion port side and the taper ring member 8, respectively, for connecting the members 8, 9 to each other and attracting the members 8, 9 by operation from the ground so as to insert the insertion port 7 into the receiving port 6 under guidance of the tapered surface 28. The holding member 9 on the insertion port side and the taper ring member 8 are lifted up to the ground after the connection therebetween is released.

In this structure, when the pipes are joined together, for example, the tapering member is lowered from the ground surface into the open cut groove and held in the receiving port of the existing pipe already laid in the groove. Next, the insertion side holding member is attached to the insertion port of the new pipe to be joined, and the new pipe is lowered from the ground surface into the groove. Next, the insertion opening is formed on the inner peripheral tapered surface of the tapering member. Then, the taper ring member and the insertion side holding member are connected to each other, and the taper ring member and the insertion side holding member are pulled toward each other by an operation from the ground surface to guide the insertion port to the inner peripheral tapered surface. Insert into the mouth. Finally, the joining operation is completed by pulling up the insertion side holding member and the tapering portion to the ground surface.

1. A device for joining pipes laid in a groove cut from the ground surface, which is held on an outer peripheral surface of an insertion opening formed at an end of one pipe to be joined. At the same time, the holding member is held on the outer periphery of the receiving opening formed at the end of the other pipe to be joined with the holding member that can be pulled up to the ground after releasing the holding state, and is inserted into this receiving opening. A taper ring member that has an inner peripheral tapered surface that guides the insertion of the mouth and that can be pulled up to the ground after releasing the holding state, and the insertion side holding member and the taper ring member. While connecting the side holding member and the tapering member, pulling the insertion side holding member and the tapering member from each other by an operation from the ground,
A pipe joining apparatus comprising: a means for guiding the insertion opening into the inner peripheral tapered surface to insert the insertion opening into the receiving opening.
