In a sewing machine capable of selecting embroidery stitching and zigzag stitching, a spiral lead groove is formed along a longitudinal direction on an outer peripheral side surface of a circular cross section, and a lead groove having the same cross section orthogonal to the longitudinal direction at a lead groove end portion. Two lead screw shafts are formed by continuously forming rest groove portions on the outer peripheral side surface within a predetermined angle range.
It is rotatably provided at a predetermined interval in parallel with each other so that both locking pins can be engaged with the lead groove and the rest groove portion, respectively.
An embroidery frame driving section which is provided between the both locking pins and is movable in parallel with the longitudinal direction of the lead screw shaft together with the both locking pins is provided, and at the time of embroidering, the locking pin that cooperates with the hoop is provided in the lead groove. An embroidery frame driving device for a sewing machine with an embroidery function, characterized in that a locking pin is engaged with a rest groove portion through a stepping motor during zigzag sewing.
