Description

【考案の詳細な説明】 〈産業上の利用分野〉 本考案はICチツプを内蔵するICカードに関す
るものである。
〈従来の技術〉 第２図に従来のICカードの構成を示す。同図
１は外観斜視図、同図２は断面図である。
メモリ等のIC１及びその他の回路素子（図示
せず）をフイルムキヤリア技術等で基板２上に実
装し、その基板上に情報を送受する接点３が構成
されたものをプラスチツク等のモールド材４でモ
ールドしてカード化している。この場合、IC１
等と接点３とは表裏の関係にあることが多い。
以上のように、従来のICカードに於いては、
情報を送受する接点がカードの表面または裏面に
設けられており、外部に露出している。
〈考案が解決しようとする問題点〉 しかしながら、上記構成では、接点が容易に人
体と接触されるため、人体の静電気が接点を介し
てICカード内に埋設されているICに流れ込み、
ICの破壊が生じ易いという問題点があつた。
本考案は従来のICカードに於ける上記問題点
を解決することを目的としているものである。
〈問題点を解決するための手段〉 リーダ／ライタ等の外部機器の接点部が挿入さ
れる孔を、カード本体側面部に設け、該孔の内側
面に、その接触面が対向内側面に面した接点を設
ける。
〈作用〉 上記構成とすることにより、ICカードの接点
と人体との接触が有効に防止されるので、人体の
静電気による内蔵ICの破壊は激減するものであ
る。
〈実施例〉 以下、実施例に基づいて本考案を詳細に説明す
る。
第１図は本考案の一実施例の構成を示す図であ
り、同図１は外観斜視図、同図２は断面図であ
る。
メモリ等のIC１１及びその他の回路素子（図
示せず）をフイルムキヤリア技術等で基板１２上
に実装する。情報を送受する接点１３はIC１１
等と同面にある。これをプラスチツク等のモール
ド材１４，１５でサンドイツチ構造にモールドし
て、カード本体を形成する。リーダ／ライタ等の
外部機器との情報の送受は、外部機器の接点部が
カード本体側面部に設けられている孔１６に挿入
され、ICカードの接点１３とコンタクトを持つ
ことにより成される。この為、カード本体側面部
の孔は比較的狭く構成でき、この孔よりICカー
ドの接点と人体が接触することは困難であり、し
たがつて人体よりの静電気が接点より流れ込み、
ICカード内のICを破壊することは激減される。
〈考案の効果〉 以上に説明したように、本考案によれば、人体
の静電気による内蔵ICの破壊が生じにくい、極
めて有用なICカードが提供されるものである。

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. カード本体側面部に、外部機器の接点部が挿入
    される孔を有し、該孔の内側面に、その接触面が
    対向内側面に面した接点を設けたことを特徴とす
    るICカード。
