Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a feed for pigs, comprising a casein hydrolyzate consisting essentially of a casein phosphopeptide and useful for promoting the absorption of minerals such as Ca or iron and improving the blood properties and milk quality of a dam sow, blood properties and ossification degree of a piglet. CONSTITUTION:The objective feed comprises a casein hydrolysate consisting essentially of a casein phosphopeptide(CPP) in an amount of preferably 0.002-0.2 pt.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. feed for pigs. The casein hydrolyzate consisting essentially of the CPP is preferably obtained by a method for dissolving a raw material casein such as acid casein or sodium caseinate in water, then using trypsin in an amount corresponding to 0.001-2wt.% expressed in terms of crystal trypsin based on the weight of the substrate casein and carrying out reaction at 2-30% casein concentration, 20-50 deg.C temperature and pH6-9 for 5min to 100hr.

In order to maintain animal life, it is necessary for the feed to be properly blended with various nutrients.
Especially in piglets that are required to grow rapidly, the utilization of minerals, especially calcium, may be poor, and bone growth cannot keep up with weight gain, causing leg weakness and claw cracking. On the other hand, even in pigs, leg weakness due to lack of mineral absorption during breeding and insufficient mineral supplementation from the pregnant pig to the fetus during pregnancy.

The nutritional status of seed pigs and piglets appears in weight gain, skeleton, and blood properties, and minerals are the nutrients that form the basis thereof. Therefore, calcium, phosphorus, various vitamins and minerals are sufficiently mixed in ordinary feeds for seedlings and piglets.

However, satisfactory results have not been obtained even if the amounts of these components are increased. Therefore, it has been desired to develop a substance and a method for promoting the absorption rate of minerals such as calcium and iron to improve the milk quality of seed pigs and the blood properties of piglets. It is known to administer CPP to humans, but not to use it in livestock feed.

Means for Solving the Problems As a result of intensive studies to achieve such an object, the present inventor has added the casein hydrolyzate containing CPP as a main component to a feed for seed pigs to feed it. It was found that absorption of minerals such as calcium and iron is promoted, and that blood characteristics and milk quality of seed pigs are effective in improving blood characteristics and ossification degree of piglets, and gaining weight.
The present invention has been completed based on this finding.

Α-CPP derived from α-casein is a peptide chain portion from Asp 43 to Lys 79 , β derived from β-casein.
-CPP is said to be a peptide chain portion from the N terminus to Arg 25, but the casein degradation product added to the feed of the present invention contains these α and β-CPP and other peptides. The CPP content in this casein degradation product is 6
It is about 18 to 18% by weight, preferably about 9 to 15% by weight.
CPP content, Fe 3 + - affinity chromatography to isolate the non-phosphorus-containing peptide by adsorbing phosphoserine portion of CPP, then the phosphorus-containing peptide by reverse-phase high performance liquid chromatography eluting the adsorbed portion Quantitatively required. Therefore, among various degradation products of casein, a phosphopeptide, that is, a peptide containing 1 to 7 phosphoserines is quantified as CPP.

This raw material casein is dissolved in water, and trypsin or an enzyme preparation containing trypsin is added. As the trypsin or the enzyme preparation containing the same used in the present invention, for example, a commercially available enzyme derived from the pancreas (pancreatin) is sufficient, but a crystal grade one is preferable from the viewpoint of yield and the like. CPP is produced by reacting the raw material casein with the above enzyme. The amount of enzyme used is 0.001% to 2% as crystalline trypsin relative to the weight of substrate casein.
A considerable amount is suitable. Industrial reaction conditions at this time, the casein concentration during the reaction is 30% or less, preferably 2 to 30%,
The reaction pH is 6.0 to 9.0, the reaction temperature is 15 to 60 ° C, preferably 20.
The reaction proceeds sufficiently at -50 ° C and a reaction time of 5 minutes to 100 hours to produce CPP.

The casein hydrolyzate thus obtained is uniformly mixed with 0.01 to 1 part by weight, preferably 0.02 to 0.2 part by weight, per 100 parts by weight of a normal pig feed. This pig feed may be fed to pigs at all times, but it is preferable to feed pigs from the 50th day of gestation until weaning, when the nutritional requirements of the embryo are high from the viewpoint of economy and effect. It is also effective for piglets about 180 days after weaning.

EFFECTS OF THE INVENTION By feeding the pig feed of the present invention, the absorption of minerals such as calcium and iron during pregnancy is promoted in the pig, and the blood characteristics and milk quality of the pig are improved.
In addition, it improves blood characteristics and ossification degree of offspring and leads to weight gain. In addition, since it also leads to improvement of blood characteristics and ossification degree for piglets, productivity and feed efficiency are improved, which is a great advantage for pig farmers.
