Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the process for production of the doorplate made of a noble metal composite plate which does not expose the base metal at the end face even of the doorplate consisting of a composite material consisting of the-base metal thinly lined with a noble metal by molding the composite end face on the circumference where the base metal after cutting is exposed and coating this end face with the noble metal. CONSTITUTION:An Au plate 1 and Cu plate 2 respectively having prescribed thicknesses and longitudinal and transverse lengths are laminated and are joined at hot at a prescribed temp. for prescribed time under pressurizing force in an atmosphere N2+H2 of specified conditions. The laminate is thereafter finished by rolling to a prescribed thickness and is cut to the prescribed longitudinal and transverse lengths to form the noble metal composite material. The composite end face of the circumference of such material is then subjected to rounding in three stages by press forming to form the noble metal composite doorplate 5. The base metal of the end face is coated with the noble metal which is the front surface layer by molding the composite end face of the circumference in such a manner. The impairment of the beauty by the oxidation and discoloration of the base metal at the end face is thus prevented in spite of long-term use. The molding of the composite end face of the circumference is preferably executed plural times to gradually cover the end face with the noble metal.

2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, it has been attempted to utilize precious metals such as Au for nameplates because of the decorative properties and corrosion resistance of precious metals. There is a method of plating precious metal for the nameplate in the manufacturing because it requires a certain thickness, but there is a concern that it may discolor from pinholes etc. during long-term use, and therefore a plate of precious metal is used. However, since it is an expensive precious metal, it utilizes a composite material with a base metal. At this time, if considering the bondability with a noble metal such as Au, C
u or Cu alloy is good, and it can be used as a thin metal laminated composite material. However, since the shape of the nameplate is processed by cutting etc., the base metal of Cu or Cu alloy is exposed at the cut end surface, and during long-term use, the base metal of the end surface oxidizes and discolors up to the precious metal surface. Then, there is concern that it may become contaminated and the aesthetics may be significantly impaired.

An object of the present invention is to prevent the base metal from being exposed on the end face even in a nameplate made of a composite material prepared by laminating a noble metal on a base metal.
Therefore, the present invention provides a method for producing a noble metal composite plate nameplate that is free from oxidation and discoloration.

The technical means of the present invention for solving the above-mentioned problems is a method of cutting a composite material in which a base metal is thinly laminated with a noble metal to form a nameplate, and the exposed peripheral composite end surface of the base metal is cut. It is characterized in that it is covered with the noble metal in a molding process.

According to the method of manufacturing a noble metal composite plate nameplate of the present invention configured as described above, the base metal on the end face can be covered with the noble metal as the surface layer by molding the peripheral composite end face, and thus the Even if it is used for a period of time, the aesthetics will not be impaired by the oxidation and discoloration of the base metal on the end faces. It is preferable that the peripheral composite end face is formed so as to cover the noble metal gradually in a plurality of times, and the thin noble metal layer can be uniformly covered without breaking.

EXAMPLES Examples will be described below. As shown in Fig. 11, an Au plate 1 having a thickness of 0.094 mm, a length of 115 mm and a width of 195 mm and a Cu plate 2 having a thickness of 20 mm, a length of 120 mm and a width of 200 mm are laminated, and the temperature is 800 ° C, the time is 90 minutes, and the atmosphere is N 2 + H 2. 3%, pressure 90
Hot bonded at tonnes. After that, roll-roll the thickness
Finished to 10mm, this is 90mm in length and 200mm in width as shown in Fig.2.
Noble metal composite material (Au thickness 0.047 mm) 3 was cut into pieces. Next, the peripheral composite end face 4 was R-shaped in three steps by press forming to form a precious metal composite plate nameplate 5 as shown in FIG. However, the nameplate was obtained in which the peripheral composite end face was completely covered with the precious metal without the base metal being exposed.
