Conventionally, in the above-mentioned painting booths, in order to prevent excess spray paint mist generated during spray painting from adhering to the painting equipment installed in the spray painting work area, ventilation gas outlets for the spray painting work area were installed. Among them, the blowing speed of the blowing part corresponding to the painting equipment installation area is made lower than that of the blowing outlet part corresponding to the painting object installation area where paint mist is generated.
In addition, when the exhaust port connected to the paint mist removal device is used to exhaust air from the spray painting work area, the exhaust port is placed on the floor of the area where the object to be coated is installed. (For example, JP-A-59-156457,

However, with the above-mentioned conventional means, the initial purpose of preventing paint mist from adhering to the coating equipment in order to facilitate cleaning and maintenance, and the purpose that is inextricably linked to this purpose, is to spray paint objects with different paint colors. To some extent, each of the objectives of eliminating paint mist within the work area as quickly as possible in order to efficiently perform sequential replacement of the work area without color transfer between the previous objects to be coated is achieved to some extent. However, since the achievement of these objectives is extremely significant industrially, it has been desired to be able to more effectively prevent the adhesion of paint mist and speed up the removal of paint mist.

Moreover, in the past, from the viewpoint of eliminating paint mist as quickly as possible, as mentioned above, the entire amount of temperature-controlled ventilation gas blown into the spray painting work area was temporarily removed through the exhaust port and paint mist removal device. Because it is discharged outside, the air conditioner that controls the temperature of the supplied ventilation gas needs to be large in terms of temperature control capacity, and the paint mist removal device also needs to be large in terms of processing air volume. As a result, not only did the overall structure of the device become larger, but there were also problems in that operating costs and equipment costs increased.

The purpose of the present invention is to make it possible to effectively and quickly remove surplus spray paint mist from the area where it is generated, where it is installed, to the area where the painting equipment is installed, with almost no mist drifting out. Furthermore, the improved configuration itself can be used more effectively to reduce the required temperature control capacity of the air conditioner and the required capacity of the paint mist removal device in terms of processing air volume.

The characteristic configuration of the painting booth according to the present invention is that the spray painting work area is directed downward to form a downward airflow curtain that partitions the spray painting work area into a workpiece installation area and a painting equipment installation area, each of which receives ventilation gas from an air outlet. A nozzle for blowing out air is provided, and an exhaust port is provided on the floor of the work area to exhaust air separately from the object installation area and the coating equipment installation area, and the paint mist contained in the exhaust gas is removed. an exhaust path that supplies gas from the exhaust port to the area where the object to be coated is installed, and a paint mist removal device that removes the mist and discharges the mist-removed gas to the outside of the system; The reason for this is that a return air path is provided to supply gas from the exhaust port to the equipment installation area.
The effects are as follows.

In other words, by dividing the spray painting work area into the workpiece installation area and the coating equipment installation area, each of which receives ventilation gas from the air outlet, the speed of ventilation gas blowing out to both installation areas can be simply controlled. In contrast, if the exhaust port that exhausts the spray painting work area is simply placed on the floor of the area where the object to be painted is installed, excess spray paint mist generated in the area where the object to be painted can be removed. It is possible to more reliably prevent the mist from drifting into the painting equipment installation area, and by reliably preventing the drift, the exhaust port can be used to intensively exhaust the entire excess sprayed paint mist generated. As a result, it is possible to prevent paint mist from adhering to the coating equipment and quickly remove the paint mist more effectively than before. As mentioned above, the airflow curtain can effectively prevent the paint mist from drifting into the area where the painting equipment is installed, but in order to prevent explosions and prevent odors from leaking outside, it is necessary to It is necessary to provide ventilation in the area where the equipment is installed.

In addition, the exhaust gas from the spray painting work area still has a large amount of temperature control heat, and by adopting the above-mentioned partition structure, the amount of ventilation gas from the painting equipment installation area is high. Focusing on the fact that the gas is discharged while maintaining its cleanliness, we installed exhaust ports that act as exhaust air for both installation areas separately, and created an exhaust path to direct the gas from the exhaust ports to the installation area of the object to be coated. By separately supplying gas from the exhaust port for the painting equipment installation area to the paint mist removal device through the return air passage, the gas is supplied to the spray painting work area as before. Compared to temporarily discharging the entire amount of temperature-controlled ventilation gas out of the system through the paint mist removal device, the required capacity of the paint mist removal device in terms of processing air volume can be greatly reduced.
In addition, by using the exhaust gas from the coating equipment installation area, which has high cleanliness and a large amount of temperature control heat, as return air, the required temperature control capacity of the air conditioner can be greatly reduced without any inconvenience in terms of cleanliness. be able to.

As a result of the above, compared to conventional booths, cleaning maintenance for adhering paint mist can be made easier, and objects to be coated with different paint colors can be replaced more efficiently without color transfer. Especially in continuous painting work on a painting line, these two points have made it possible to greatly improve the painting processing capacity on a monthly or annual basis. Moreover, since the air conditioner and paint mist removal device need only be small, the overall equipment configuration can be made compact and installation ease in painting factories etc. can be improved.
Equipment costs and operating costs (especially heat source costs) were significantly reduced.
