DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION (Field of Industrial Application) The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing ibushi roof tiles that have the same luster as conventional tiles and do not fade during use.

(Conventional technology) Ibushi tiles are made by cutting flat waste extruded from a clay kneading machine into pieces slightly smaller than the mold dimensions of a press machine, and press-forming the dough into a tile shape inside the mold of a press machine. They are manufactured by drying the molded base to make it white, firing it, and then smoking it in a furnace to deposit free carbon on the tile surface (for example, ``Clay Tile Handbook'' by Minoru Tanaka,
Gihodo Publishing, November 1980, p. 328). However, the surface of dried and fired tiles has countless minute protrusions and deep depressions, so the adhesion of carbon particles is unstable, and during the manufacturing process, carbon particles do not adhere to the tile surface. In some cases, the carbon particles peeled off and became uneven or faded within one year after the start of use.

Therefore, in the Awaji region, a sealing agent made of fine clay particles is applied to the white surface that has been dried after press molding to form a smooth layer of approximately uniform thickness on the surface of the tile. Attempts have been made to improve the adhesion of In this method, the raw material clay produced has a low fire resistance, and the temperature is 900 to 950℃.
Ibushi tiles from Awaji, which are fired at a temperature of about 100 degrees Fahrenheit, have a certain degree of effectiveness, but because the raw clay is different, ibushi tiles from the Sanshu region (Mikawa region, Aichi Prefecture) are fired at temperatures of 1,100 to 1,200 degrees Celsius. When applied to oxidized roof tiles, the sealant layer and raw clay tend to peel off from the interface due to the difference in fire resistance, and the sealant layer loses the unique luster of ibushi tiles from the Sanshu region. There were problems such as the color tone becoming like this.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) The present invention solves the conventional problems as described above, and eliminates carbon particles without changing the gloss called "teri" or "sae", which are unique to Sanshu tiles. This was completed with the aim of creating a method for manufacturing oxidized roof tiles that increases adhesion and thereby prevents fading during use.

Note that both "Teri" and "Sae" are industry terms, but "Teri" means that the surface of the tile has a high reflectance of light rays, and the smoother the surface, the better the "Teri". is obtained. On the other hand, "Sae" means that the entire surface of the tile always exhibits a good gloss regardless of the change in the direction of light rays during the daytime and morning and evening.
It depends on the magnitude of diffuse reflection of light on the surface of the tile. Therefore, even if the mirror surface has good ``texture,'' it lacks ``evenness.'' In order to satisfy both requirements, it is necessary to strictly control the surface condition of the tile.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems, and the present invention has been made in order to solve the above-mentioned problem. This is then press-formed together with the rough ground to soften the irregularities on the surface of the rough ground and integrate the layer mainly made of fine clay particles with the surface of the rough ground. After that, oxidized roof tiles are manufactured using normal processes. It is characterized by this.

In the present invention, soil called makeup soil is used to form a layer mainly composed of fine clay particles on the surface of wasteland. This decorative clay is usually produced from the supernatant liquid of frog's eye clay dissolved in water, and glaze components etc. can also be added as subcomponents. A major feature of the present invention is that this makeup soil is not applied to the surface of tiles called Shiroji which has dried after press molding as in the past, but is applied to the surface of rough ground where the surface is still undried before press molding. By doing so, a layer consisting mainly of clay fine particles is formed.

Generally, during press molding, an oil-based mold release agent is applied to the surface of the press mold to improve mold release properties, so it is pointless to apply this type of makeup soil to the surface of rough ground. It has been believed. For this reason, prior to the present invention, there is no known example of applying soil to the surface of such rough ground before press forming.

In this way, the surface of the flat plate-like rough ground in an undried state will flow violently mainly in the vertical direction during the subsequent pressing process, forming a large number of depressions and protrusions, but in the present invention, these surfaces Since a layer mainly composed of fine clay particles has been formed in advance, the layer mainly composed of fine clay particles is also pressed together with the surface of the rough ground, filling in the depressions and smoothing out the protrusions, thereby reducing the unevenness of the surface of the rough land. At the same time, it also exerts an excellent anchoring effect, integrating with the rough ground and firmly adhering to the surface of the rough ground.

Therefore, the roof tile formed in this way is dried and fired using a normal process, and the surface of the roof tile with appropriate unevenness is coated with a layer mainly composed of clay particles. If the carbon particles are attached in the oxidizing step, the carbon particles will firmly adhere to the surface of the tile, and it is possible to obtain an ibushi tile that is free from fading due to peeling off of the carbon particles during use.

Moreover, in the present invention, by applying makeup soil to the surface of the rough ground before pressing, it is possible to form a layer mainly composed of fine clay particles that is integrated with the surface of the tile as described above, so that The characteristic luster called ``teri'' and ``sae'' described above will not be lost, and the adhesion between the two is good, so there will be no peeling due to differences in fire resistance, and it will last for a long time. Able to maintain stable color and gloss.

(Effects of the Invention) As is clear from the above description, the present invention forms a layer mainly composed of clay particles on the surface of the wasteland before press forming, and press-forms this together with the wasteland, thereby improving the surface of the wasteland. By integrating a layer made mainly of clay fine particles with the surface of the rough ground while alleviating unevenness, and then attaching carbon particles to the surface using a conventional method, we created the unique ``teri'' characteristic of Sanshu tiles. '', which succeeded in improving the adhesion of carbon particles without impairing the luster known as ``sae''. Therefore, the ibushi tiles manufactured according to the present invention are not likely to fade during use, and the increase in manufacturing cost is negligible.
