2. Description of the Related Art Generally, as shown in FIG. 3, a differential device for an automobile has one of its front and rear portions, for example, supported by a bracket fixed to a cross member C via a bushing B. Normally, a substantially plate-shaped differential member D is fixed to the other side of the device A, for example, the front part, and both ends of the differential member D are suspended from left and right vehicle body members via bushes E, E (for example, in practice). 1977-
(See Publication No. 71922). In FIG. 3, F is a propeller shaft, and G and G are axle shafts.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention In the conventional mounting structure of the differential device as described above, the differential member D has a substantially flat plate shape, and the differential device A has a substantially flat plate shape as shown in FIG.
Since the structure is such that the differential member is connected at the mounting surface D' which is formed by bending the differential member at the upper part of the boss part A', the support strength for the rotation torque reaction force of the differential device A is not sufficient and Not only cannot it respond to increases in output and driving force, but it also has problems such as low rigidity against collision loads during vehicle collisions, which may lead to damage to surrounding parts.

Means for Solving the Problems The present invention provides a mount structure for a differential device as described above, in which the differential member is composed of a U-shaped cross-sectional member having an upper surface, a lower surface, and a vertical surface. A notch is formed in the vertical and lower surfaces of the central portion of the differential member to form a notch into which the boss of the differential device is fitted, and when the boss is fitted into the notch, the vertical surface of the differential member is cut out. A bracket having a substantially L-shaped cross section that is connected to the top surface and the bottom surface is bonded and fixed to the differential member so as to cover a portion of the bottom surface and the vertical surface of the notch, and the boss portion is connected to the top surface of the differential member and the bottom surface of the bracket. It is characterized by a structure in which it is fixed by tightening bolts in a large, recessed state.

Effect As described above, by making the differential member a U-shaped cross-sectional member, the strength and rigidity of the differential member itself are improved, the degree of freedom in drawing the differential member is improved, and the support span of the differential member can be expanded. Since the boss part of the differential device is fixed by being held between the upper surface of the differential member and the lower surface of the bracket within the U-shaped cross section of the differential member, the upper part of the boss part of the differential device is fixed. The space is increased and the space can be used effectively, and the supporting strength of the differential device is improved, making it possible to sufficiently respond to high output and high driving force, and has high rigidity against collision loads.
Therefore, damage to peripheral parts can be prevented.

The differential member 2 is composed of a U-shaped cross-sectional member having an upper surface, a lower surface, and a vertical surface.
As shown in FIG. 2C and FIG.
It is assembled with the boss portion 6 of the differential device 1 fitted into the cutout portion 2a.
A bracket 3 having a substantially L-shaped cross section that covers the lower surface and the vertical surface of the differential member 2 (the vertical surface is partially covered) is placed against the notch 2a and fixed with bolts 3a, 3a, and the bracket 3 is connected to the upper surface of the differential member 2. By tightening the bolts 8, 8 between the lower surface of the differential member 2, the central portion of the differential member 2 and the bracket 3 are fixed to each other with the boss portion 6 of the differential device 1 held therebetween.

Effects of the invention According to the invention configured as described above, the strength and rigidity of the differential member itself are significantly improved by configuring the differential member with a U-shaped cross-sectional member, and the degree of freedom in drawing the differential member is improved. With,
The structure is such that the boss of the differential device is held and fixed within the U-shaped cross section of the differential member, so the space above the boss of the differential device is expanded, making effective use of space. In addition, it can sufficiently respond to high output and high driving force, and has high rigidity against collision loads in the event of a collision. The fuel tank is arranged close to the differential member as shown in Figure 1. Even if the fuel tank is installed, the risk of damage to the fuel tank in the event of a collision is extremely reduced, and safety can be improved, which can have a great practical effect.
