Weather resistance, durability, heat resistance, and cold resistance are required, and various efforts have been made to ensure good drainage and avoid being blown away by strong winds, and have been perfected over the long history of Japanese architecture.

The structure had high floors, long eaves, verandahs, and extensive use of open shoji and sliding doors to improve ventilation. Because the roof tiles formed the base and had good insulation properties, even if the roof tiles themselves reached high temperatures, the living space of the house did not become too hot.

However, since roofing materials do not have insulation properties, not only the roof tiles but also the roofing materials and roofing boards become hot, so the attic of the house becomes quite hot in the summer, and each room of the house is affected by this. As a result, it started to get hotter.

In addition, simply ventilating the attic does not directly prevent the roof tiles, roofing materials, and sheathing boards from becoming hot, so it cannot prevent the radiant heat radiated from the sheathing boards and is inefficient. The purpose is to improve the livability of houses by improving their properties.

A ventilation hole (1) formed by a small hole or notch leading from the outside into the inside of the Mendo tile is provided in the part of the Mento tile, so that the Mendo tile itself has a ventilation function, and a Mendo tile having this ventilation hole is used. By doing so, hot air under the roof tiles is discharged outdoors, preventing a rise in temperature in the attic and promoting ventilation, thereby preventing a rise in temperature in each room.

The eaves, which is formed between the back side of the left and right shaped parts of the tiles and the base material, roofing material, leads to the inner space of the mento tile, where these cavities come together through a cavity that leads to the ridge. The air is discharged to the outside through the vents provided by the mento tiles, thereby preventing the roof tiles, roofing materials, and roofing boards from becoming hot due to solar heat, and creating a system that lowers the temperature inside the house.

Moreover, since it is continuous from the eaves to the ridge, it forms a kind of ventilation pipe that goes from the bottom to the top.

事は言うまでもない。On the other hand, since the trough of the wave gently draws an arc toward the mountain, the air heated by the roof tiles and roofing materials, that is, the hot air, becomes less dense and lighter, and moves from the trough to the crest of the wave. Ascend to the vent pipe. Therefore, the hot air that has gathered in the ventilation pipes is guided through the ventilation pipes and rises further, reaching the interior space of the mento tiles that are installed continuously on the ridge, and is discharged to the outside through the ventilation holes provided in the mento tiles. It is. At the same time, it goes without saying that the hot air trapped in the attic is also ventilated to the outside.

The total area of the openings of the vents provided in the door tiles is large enough to exhaust the hot air.

のである。If the roof tiles, roofing materials, and roofing boards do not become hot, the radiant heat from them will be reduced, making it difficult for the attic to become hot, and even if hot air is trapped in the attic, it will be ventilated outside. As a result, the attic will no longer get too hot, and the temperature in each room will also drop.

It has a wave-shaped cross section, and the valleys guide rainwater downstream, and the peaks overlap and connect with adjacent roof tiles (31), as shown in Figure 3. Below the portion where the roof tiles (31) overlap, a cavity (4) is formed that continues upward from the eaves to the ridge. Of course, the tile crosspiece (5) that prevents the roof tile (3) from shifting will protrude into the cavity fv4 (4), but this does not pose a particular problem for the hot air to rise in the direction of the arrow inside the cavity (4). , which can also be confirmed through experiments. Also, if necessary, if you cut out only that part of the tile beam (5) that protrudes into the cavity (4),
The rise of hot air within the cavity (4) becomes even more effective. The hot air passes through the air 1v4 (4) and reaches the internal space of the Mendo tiles (2), which are continuously installed above the ridge, and then through the ventilation holes provided in the Mendo tiles (2). (1) It is discharged as shown by the arrow. As shown in Figure 4, the assembled tile (6) is placed on top of the mendo tile (2) with the seam of the tiles shifted by half the tile, and the assembled tile (6) is placed just above the ventilation hole (1). This will create a seam between the tiles (6). The assembled tiles (6) have strings (
6a), and just below this string (61) there is a ventilation hole (1
), it becomes difficult for rainwater to enter the room through the vent (1). However, even if rainwater were to enter through the vent (1), the roof tile (3) is placed below the mendo tile (2), so this roof tile (3) would prevent rainwater from entering. Rainwater will be discharged outside.

Although an embodiment is shown in which the tile is provided at the lower corner of the side surface of the mendo tile (2), modifications may be made without departing from the gist of the invention.

By providing ventilation holes in the roof tiles, hot air under the roof tiles can be efficiently discharged to the outside of the house, thereby preventing the temperature rise in each room and improving the livability of the house easily and at a very low cost. We were able to make improvements.
