に先行するように走行させ、溶接に先立ち溶接部
が適度に加熱されるようにしている。

20は、どの方向へも走行するよう回動自在に取
り付けられた車輪であり、上記支持柱8の下端部
にバネ18により突出して設けられ、支持柱8に
何も載せられていないときには前記バネ18によ
り突出して予熱機構6を走行自在に支持してい
る。

を収納させて支持柱8が固定定盤10に直接接す
るようになる。これで予熱バーナ16は各補強材
30の直下に配されたことになり、そして前記パ
ネル材4と補強材30とを溶接する自走式溶接装
置32の進行に先立ちこの予熱バーナ16を適当
な距離間隔を保たせて前記溶接装置32と同速度
で走行させる。その距離間隔は、溶接装置32が
溶接する際に溶接点が溶接に関して最適温度に昇
温されるような距離である。

のいかなる位置に補強材30が溶接される場合で
あつても確実に予熱を行なうことができる。
