Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a lustrous appearance having distinctness and depth by a method wherein the depressed and raised patterns having specific line groups are provided on the rear side of a sheet base material and a bright resin or vapor deposition layer is additionally formed on the depressed and raised pattern side thereof. CONSTITUTION:A base material 2 consists of depressed and raised patterns 3 provided on the rear side thereof and a bright resin or vapor deposition layer 4 formed additionally on such pattern side. As the base material 2, synthetic resin sheet such as polyvinyl chloride and polyethylene is used. The depressed and raised pattern 3 consists of the groups of parallel curved lines 5 alone or suitably combined with the groups of parallel straight lines 6 and the patterns of the line groups compose the depressed and the raised parts having such shape that the width d1 of the raised part P and the width d2 of the depressed part Q are both 1-1,000mum in cross section. The depressed and raised surface 3 having the aforesaid patterns consists of the ionizing radiation hardenable resin which is hardened and shaped while it is being filled in an engraved roll plate and then transferred and shaped on the rear side of the base material 2. A bright resin or vapor deposition layer 4, coupled with the depressed and raised pattern 3, produces a bright and beautiful luster.

Specific examples include decorative sheets in which wood grain patterns are printed using ink containing glitter pigments such as pearl pigments on general sheet base materials, and decorative sheets that use glitter as sheet base materials. 2. Description of the Related Art Decorative sheets and the like are known, the surface of which is printed with a wood grain pattern or the like using ordinary printing ink. However, these sheet-like materials are extremely monotonous in that the light that appears appears constant, for example, along the shape of the printed pattern. Furthermore, the above-mentioned light does not have a property that the position of the light appears to move by changing the viewing angle, for example, like the light of natural materials, and it lacks a sense of realism.

In addition, there are also irregularities formed by heat embossing on the sheet base material, such as a faded-like drawn part with a depth and width of 5 to 10 μm and a glossy drawn part with a depth and width of 1 μm or less. There is also known an embossed decorative sheet that has a pattern and is configured to provide a glossy appearance. However, even in the case of this type of sheet-like material, the obtained shine appearance was uniform, and there was no movement of the shine due to changes in the direction of the viewpoint. In addition, since the sheet base material is made of thermoplastic material, it is difficult to form fine uneven patterns because the texture returns from a few μm to several tens of μm during embossing, and as a result, the shine is affected. It has not been possible to produce a desired shine appearance etc. that are slightly different. Furthermore, in order to obtain a more realistic shiny appearance, it has been proposed to form an uneven pattern on both sides of the sheet base material, but in that case, the base material would be wrinkled during embossing. It is difficult to perform heat embossing on both the front and back sides in two steps, considering the material of the base material, and it is impossible to form the desired uneven shape on both sides. It was close.

Further, in the manufacturing method of the present invention, the width of the convex portion and the four portions is 1 to 100 mm.
A roll intaglio plate with a plate concavity for forming an uneven pattern consisting of a line group pattern of 0 μm parallel curves or a combination of parallel curves and parallel straight lines is used, and at least the plate concavities of the roll intaglio plate are exposed to ionizing radiation. The above-mentioned resin is filled with a curable resin and brought into contact with a transparent or translucent sheet base material, and while the base material is in contact with the intaglio, ionizing radiation is irradiated to interpose the resin between the base material and the intaglio. After curing the resin and the base material, the base material is peeled off from the intaglio plate to form an uneven pattern on the back side of the sheet base material, and then a printing method is applied to the back side of the uneven pattern on the sheet base material. has a structure in which a glittering resin or metal vapor deposited layer is formed by a vapor deposition method.

The concave-convex pattern 3 is an element for creating a shiny appearance, and in particular, it is a concave-convex pattern that has the role of creating a visible glow that moves depending on the viewing angle. That is, uneven pattern 3
When viewed from above as shown in Fig. 2, the pattern of the parallel curve group 5 ((a), (C) and (d) in the figure) or the parallel curve group 5 and the parallel straight line group 6 are appropriately combined. It consists of a pattern of line groups (see figure (b)),
As shown in FIG. 3, the line group pattern has a cross-sectional shape in which the width of the convex portion P: dl and the width of the concave portion Q: d are 1 to 10.
It has an uneven shape with a diameter of 00 μm. Uneven pattern 3
has a base layer portion R as shown in FIG.
It is common to have a structure in which a convex portion P and a concave portion Q are formed on the top, but as shown in FIG. It may be of a structure in which the groove is a concave portion.

A typical example of a group of parallel curves is one in which a plurality of connected curve units such as sine waves, cycloid curves, circular arcs, etc. are arranged by moving parallel to each other. The line group pattern illustrated in FIG. 2(d) is a collection of line groups each having a parallel curve group in each region surrounded by a contour line, and the shape or shape of the contour line and the parallel curve group. This is an example of a pattern in which the line direction differs for each contour region. In particular, according to the line group pattern having the structure as illustrated in FIGS. 2(C) and 2(d), the so-called illuminated portions appear dispersed in clusters or spirals.
A heathered (mo<) lit appearance can be obtained. Furthermore, if the width of the convex portions and concave portions exceeds 1000 μm, each group of parallel lines will stand out to the extent that each line can be identified, resulting in a geometric texture, which is unsuitable for reproducing the appearance of natural wood, etc. . It is more preferable that the widths d+ and di are 5 to 100 μm from the point of view of producing a clear and realistic shine. Further, the depth of the recess is usually about 1 to 100 μm, more preferably about 5 to 25 μm. Furthermore, the depth of the concave portion is not uniform, but is appropriately distributed to each partitioned area and made to vary regularly, thereby creating a luminous appearance in which the sense of illumination changes subtly depending on the area. be able to.

The glittering resin or metal vapor deposited layer 4 is another element that creates a shiny appearance, and in combination with the uneven pattern 3, plays the role of creating a beautiful shine with shine. This layer 4 may be provided on the entire surface of the uneven pattern 3 side of the sheet base material 2 or may be provided partially. The glittering resin layer can be made of, for example, metal powder such as copper powder, aluminum powder, or brass, pigments with metallic luster using metal flakes, mica pigments such as titanium dioxide-coated mica, fish scale foil, pearlescent pigments such as bismuth chloride, etc. This layer is formed from a glitter ink containing pigments and interference gloss.

The ionizing radiation curable resin can be supplied between the intaglio roll and the pressure roll, or on the surface of the W material by appropriate means such as a roll coating method or a knife coating method. As the ionizing radiation curable resin, known ultraviolet or electron beam curable resins can be used. Among them, if a solvent-free type is used, problems such as volume shrinkage, shape deformation, and bubble generation due to curing will not occur. In addition, a pre-drying step for the resin is not necessary, and a finer uneven shape can be reliably formed with good reproducibility. Irradiation with ionizing radiation may be performed from the base material side if the sheet base material 2 is transparent to ionizing radiation, or from the intaglio side if the intaglio plate 7 is made of a material hardenable by ionizing radiation. It may be carried out from the beginning, or it may be carried out from both sides of the base material and the intaglio (L). The degree of hardening due to irradiation with ionizing radiation is
It is at least to the extent that the resin loses fluidity and adhesion to the sheet base material. Further, after the base material is peeled off from the intaglio plate, ionizing radiation may be irradiated again for more complete curing.

In the present invention, if necessary, printing may be performed on the surface side of the sheet base material, or other surface design treatments such as heat embossing may be performed. In addition, if a wood grain conduit pattern is printed on the surface of the sheet base material using colored ink such as black, brown, or brown containing a matting agent, with a lower gloss than the base material surface, the conduit printed area will become depressed due to the visual effect. It has the advantage of being visible in the open state.

As a roll intaglio plate, the basic curve is a curve expressed by the relational expression when the sheet substrate feeding direction is the y-axis and the width direction is the y-axis, and multiple curves are arranged parallel to each other at intervals of 50 μm in the y-axis direction. A metal roll intaglio plate having a plate depth (that is, the depth of the concave portions) of 20 μm was prepared by etching a line group pattern (the width of both the convex portions and the concave portions are 50 μm).

[Effects of the Invention] As explained above, the sheet of the present invention has an uneven pattern in the specific line group pattern shape as described above on the back side of the sheet base material, and also has a glittering resin on the uneven pattern side. Alternatively, since a metal vapor deposited layer is provided, when observed from the sheet surface side, the uneven pattern seen through the sheet base material and the glittering resin or metal vapor deposited layer combine to provide a clear and deep shiny appearance. In particular, the illumination is unique and has a high design effect as it moves smoothly depending on the viewing angle. This illuminated appearance can be achieved, for example, by adjusting the shape of the uneven line group pattern, by appropriately employing line groups that combine parallel curve groups and parallel straight lines, or by applying glittering resin or metal vapor deposition layers to specific areas. It is also possible to set it so that it appears at a predetermined position by providing it partially in the area.

In addition, in the present invention, as described above, the uneven pattern is formed of an ionizing radiation-curable resin that is hardened and molded while being filled into the roll intaglio, so that the resulting uneven pattern has fine details. It is faithfully and clearly reproduced over the entire area, and this also creates a beautiful shine that cannot be obtained with conventional products. By forming a printed pattern layer of natural wood grain or the like as necessary, it is possible to create a shiny and realistic design appearance.

In particular, the method of the present invention employs a technique in which the uneven pattern is formed by curing and molding an ionizing radiation-curable resin using a roll intaglio as described above. The elemental fine uneven pattern can be easily and faithfully formed, and the sheet itself can be manufactured efficiently. Moreover, according to the method of the present invention, unlike forming an uneven pattern by heat embossing, there are no major restrictions regarding the material of the sheet base material (such as thermoplasticity required), and moreover, the uneven shape on the back side of the sheet base material is made of hardened ionizing radiation-cured resin. There is also an advantage that the surface side of the base material can be subjected to, for example, heat embossing, if necessary.
