Abstract

PURPOSE:To efficiently wash the rough tube of a drum without polluting the environment by washing the tube with a solvent having specified KB. CONSTITUTION:When a photosensitive body used for an electrophotographic copying machine, etc., is produced, the rough tube of a drum used as the electrically conductive substrate of the photosensitive body is washed with a solvent having 120-140 KB. At least one among dichloromethane (136 KB), trichloroethylene (130 KB), 1,1,1-trichloroethane (124 KB) and methylene chloride (135 KB) may be used as the solvent. Unlike chlorofluorocarbon the solvent having 120-140 KB causes no environmental pollution and the rough tube is satisfactorily washed.

When manufacturing photoreceptors, if foreign matter such as oil (human fat or cutting oil) adheres to the surface of the drum tube, it will cause image unevenness and greatly reduce the photosensitive characteristics. In the cleaning step, the drum tube is washed with a solvent or the like to completely remove oil and other stains adhering to the surface of the drum tube, and then the drum tube is sent to the coating liquid application step.

Conventionally, in order to clean a drum tube, the drum tube is placed above a tank containing cleaning liquid, and the drum tube is immersed in the direction of the cleaning wave while rotating in the circumferential direction, and then pulled out from the cleaning liquid. This was done repeatedly and by sliding a brush placed in the tank around the drum tube.

By the way, CFCs are usually used as conventional cleaning liquids, and when CFCs are used, it is possible to degrease the drum tube relatively well, but it also prevents the deterioration of brushes made of animal hair, for example. do not have. However, in recent years, the use of fluorocarbons has become a social problem because it causes environmental pollution, and there is a possibility that it may become unusable in the future. It is also possible to use other organic solvents other than Freon, such as aromatic solvents and alcohol solvents, but these solvents are not yet satisfactory in terms of cleaning power, explosion risk, etc. This is the actual situation.

As described above, by treating the drum stock tube with a solvent having a KB value of 120 to 14G, oil adhering to the drum stock tube can be sufficiently removed, and it does not cause environmental pollution. In particular, by using the above-mentioned chlorine-based solvent,
These solvents are nonflammable, have no explosion hazard, and can safely clean drum tubes. In addition, the above-mentioned solvent does not cause problems such as softening or dissolving the brush made of animal hair and impairing its elasticity, and can be used for a long period of time. The drum stock tube can be cleaned with the physical properties of 7JXlf imparted to the brush.

Put dichloromethane (KBa[136) into the clan tank,
A ring-shaped brush made of sheep's hair is placed in a tank, and an aluminum cylindrical drum tube is lowered into the brush from above the tank while rotating in the circumferential direction to be immersed in the liquid. The drum tube was pulled out of the liquid. The drum stock tube was cleaned by repeatedly moving the drum stock tube up and down.

(Effects of the Invention) According to the present invention, instead of conventional fluorocarbons, the KB value is 12.
Since the drum tube is treated with a solvent of 0 to 140, there is no problem of environmental pollution like fluorocarbons, and it also has excellent degreasing ability. Furthermore, using chlorinated solvents such as dichloromethane does not pose an explosion risk and may degrade the brushes used for cleaning, even if they are made of animal hair. This method has the advantage that stable drum cleaning operations can be carried out over a long period of time.

以上that's all
