The condensed water reaches the main seal part d of the weather strip a through the window c, but because the volume of the water receiving part e formed above the main seal part d is small, it quickly overflows and the condensed water w flows into the passenger compartment. However, there is a problem in that it creates stains on the ceiling etc.

In the weather strip, a water receiving part is formed on the main seal part to receive the condensed water from the glass window.
A drain passage is formed by cutting out a suitable place in the main seal part to guide the condensed water in the water receiving part downward, and a lip is provided in a part located below the main seal part to come into pressure contact with the opening/closing window when it is closed. The weather strip is characterized in that a lip is integrally provided at the base of the weather strip so that when the opening/closing window is closed, the space above the lip becomes a water-receiving groove for collecting condensed water led from the water-receiving passage.

It is guided to the space above the lip (water receiving groove) that is pressed against the water and is collected there. Since this water drain passage is formed by cutting out a suitable part of the weather strip, it will not be crushed even when the opening/closing window is closed and pressing force is applied to the weather strip, and water can be sufficiently drained. In this manner, condensed water can be guided from the drain passage to the water receiving groove, thereby preventing condensed water from flowing into the vehicle interior. Note that the condensed water collected in the water receiving groove evaporates over time.

It is configured to be able to open and close in the direction of the arrow.
The cross-sectional shape of the lower edge of the weather strip A disposed along the window frame 2 of the glass window portion P is as shown in FIG. That is, a main seal part 3 that comes into pressure contact with the glass window 1 when it is closed, and a lip 4 located below and parallel to the main seal part 3 are each integrally formed on the base part 5 of the weather strip A. The lip 4 protrudes toward the glass window 1 and is configured to come into pressure contact with the glass window 1 when the glass window 1 is closed, thereby ensuring a secure seal by the pressing force. Further, a water drain passage 7 is formed in a suitable position in the main seal portion 3, and this water drain passage 7 is crushed even when the glass window 1 is closed and a pressing force is applied to the main seal portion 3. This allows for sufficient water to be drained.
