It is common to apply a type of filler to the subject in advance. This is done because ultrasonic waves hardly pass through the air, but especially for relatively large probes such as linear electronic scanning ultrasonic probes, there is water at the tip of the probe. A device is known in which a bag containing a liquid is removably attached to improve contact with the subject and operability (Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No. 59981/1983). This bag is usually called a water bag.

の少ない液体を用いる。 Additionally, when diagnosing tumors in body surface organs such as mammary glands and thyroid glands by directly applying a probe to the body surface, the ultrasonic waves are poorly focused in the near field and the water bag The probe is used as a spacer to bring the focal point of the probe close to the body surface. The liquid used in the water bag is degassed water obtained by boiling tap water, or a liquid that has acoustic impedance equal to that of a living body and has low acoustic attenuation.

An object of the present invention is to provide a water bag for a sonic probe.

This further improves operability.

用してもよい。 The water bag 2 is usually made of flexible plastic or rubber, taking acoustic impedance, durability, etc. into consideration. In order to prevent the internal liquid from leaking, the water bag 2 is connected by the elasticity of the material of the water bag 2 itself, or by using a suitable press-fitting tool (not shown).
The periphery of the probe is pressed against the probe main body 3, and the whole is integrated. 4 and 5 are the probe body 3, respectively.
(Since both have the same function, liquid can be injected from either of them, but usually one is used as an air outlet.) ). 1 is a membrane having breathability and water repellency provided on the side surface of the water bag 2, such as the product name "Entrant" (manufactured by Toray Industries, Inc.) or the product name "Telfu Yusion".
GL Filter" (manufactured by Terumo Corporation). This breathable and water-repellent membrane 1 may be used in any part of the water bag 2, and its size should be determined appropriately. Further, the location where it is used is not limited to one location, and the membrane 1 may be used at multiple locations as necessary.

Of course, it is also possible to use frame materials and other parts to make it detachable. Note that 9 indicates a piezoelectric element and 10 indicates a cable.

A well-known one is used.

Liquids can be injected. Since the membrane surface of the water bag 2 is usually thin in order to minimize acoustic attenuation, the fact that the internal pressure does not increase means that there is no risk of damaging the membrane surface, which is a great advantage. Furthermore, Water Bug 2
By continuing to inject liquid while maintaining the water bag in an appropriate position, air bubbles will automatically escape from the water bag 2 through the breathable and water-repellent membrane 1, even when using the ultrasonic probe. Air bubbles can be easily and completely removed.

In the water bag according to the present invention, even if ordinary tap water is used, bubbles generated inside the water bag over time will automatically escape through the membrane 1, so there is no need to pay attention to deaeration.
