Claims (1)
- 基板上に下部電極層とＥＬ素子層と上部電極層
とを順次積層形成した端面発光型ＥＬ素子におい
て、前記端面発光型ＥＬ素子の上部電極層の上に
分厚い上部部材を設け、前記端面発光型ＥＬ素子
の発光端面を含んで少なくとも前記上部部材の内
部から前記基板内部に至る平面を形成し、この平
面を連続的に被う透明保護膜を設けたことを特徴
とする端面発光型ＥＬ素子。
