    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 画像信号を出力するカメラと、前記画像信号を
    デジタル信号に変換する入力回路と、前記デジタ
    ル信号を記録する画像メモリと、前記画像メモリ
    中の指定された位置の指定された範囲のデジタル
    情報を収集するウインドウ発生部と前記ウインド
    ウ発生部で収集されたデジタル情報に対して指定
    されたしきい値で２値化する２値化回路と前記２
    値化回路で２値化された２値化情報に対して、前
    記ウインドウ発生部で指定された範囲内の指定さ
    れた数の指定位置の指定ビツト数の２値化情報を
    収集するベクター部と、前記ベクター部で収集さ
    れるデータのパターンを持ちそのパターンより特
    定の文字を判定する判定部と、前記ベクター部で
    収集されたデータと前記判定部のデータを照合す
    る時前記ベクター部で収集された１つのデータに
    対して前記判定部の全てのデータと照合するので
    はなく指定された数の指定位置の指定ビツト数の
    ２値化情報のうち１つでも前記判定部とのデータ
    と１つでも合わない時その時点で前記判定部の合
    わないデータを持つ共通のデータとの照合をやめ
    前記判定部の別のデータとの照合を行う演算部と
    を含むことを特徴とする文字認識装置。
