Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide the subject coating containing a polyamino monocarboxylic acid, benzalkonium chloride, synthetic pyrethroid, formalin and a synergist for the synthetic pyrethroid, and further to provide the subject chemical odor- reduced emulsion containing an emulsifier as well as the above-mentioned components. CONSTITUTION:The subject coating contains 0.3-5.0wt.% of a polyaminomonocarboxylic acid [e.g. a compound of the formula (R is alkyl)], 0.1-1.5wt.% of benzalkonium chloride, 0.5-5.0wt.% of a synthetic pyrethroid (e.g. pyrethroid allethrin), 3.0-15.0wt.% of a synergist (e.g. pipenyl but butoxide) and 2-7wt.% of formalin, and the subject emulsion contains an emulsifier as well as the above-mentioned components. The emulsion generates a reduced amount of chemical odors and can exhibit gradually antifungal, antibacterial and insecticidal activities over a long period of time when compounded with cement for the outer walls of buildings, wall-coating materials such as mortar or plasters, spraying materials for the buildings, etc. The coating and emulsion have excellent antifungal activity especially to fungi.

力を有し、しかも、このポリアミノモノカルボン酸は極
めて安定な化合物で長期間に亘って強い殺菌力を維持で
き、また、このポリアミノモノカルボン酸が殺菌力に優
れた塩化ベンザルコニウム、防黴力に優れたホルマリン
、防虫作用に優れたアレスリン等の合成ピレスロイド等
と併用使用することができることを見出し、更に、これ
らを混合して得られる防黴・防菌・防虫用乳剤を建物外
壁用のセメントやモルタル、あるいは、しっくい等の塗
壁材料、無機質あるいは有機質の建築用吹付は材料に配
合した場合、あるいは、これらを混合して得られる防黴
・防菌・防虫塗料が、徐放的に長期に亘ってそれぞれの
効力を発揮することを見出し、本発明を完成した。
