2. Description of the Related Art Automobile doors usually have a structure in which an inner panel and an outer panel are joined together to form a door panel, and a window glass is housed between the inner panel and the outer panel of the door panel so that it can be raised and lowered. In a door panel with such a structure, there is a risk that rainwater etc. may enter the door panel, and once it enters, it is difficult to drain out, so conventionally, a drainage hole is formed in the lower part of the inner panel. Further, in the above-mentioned door panel, as shown in FIG. 3, a connecting flange portion 10 is formed at the peripheral edge of the inner panel 4 that bulges inwardly of the vehicle, and the peripheral edges of both sides and the lower part of the outer panel 5 are folded back to form the inner panel. A coupling structure in which hemming coupling is performed with the coupling flange portion 10 of No. 4 is widely known. In a door panel that employs such a joint structure, if rainwater etc. enters the door panel, it can be drained away through the drainage hole, but due to the structure of the hemming joint, As shown in the figure, the area indicated by A among the hemmed areas is in close contact with each other due to pressure processing and there is no ingress of water, but no pressure is applied to the joint S, and the joining flange The base portion 11a also has a bending radius R, so that a gap is created at the joint S between the outer panel 5 and the inner panel 4. Therefore, at the lower end of the door panel side, the rainwater rises by about 10 cm due to capillary action, and since this is difficult to dry, there is a problem that rust occurs on the inner surface of the lower end of the door panel side.

Conventionally, in order to eliminate this problem, anti-rust oil was applied to the inner surface of the lower end of the door panel side, but in this case, it was difficult to apply the anti-rust oil and the work was very complicated. There was a problem with the increase in process steps.

[Purpose of the invention] In view of these problems, this invention aims to provide a drainage structure for vehicle body opening members such as doors that can prevent water from rising due to capillary action at the joint between the inner panel and the outer panel of the vehicle body opening member. It is something to do.

Therefore, the present invention was designed to connect the inner panel and the outer panel by hemming in an opening/closing member that is provided in the opening of the vehicle body so as to be openable and closable and is composed of an inner panel and an outer panel. A drainage part is formed at the base of the joint flange part, and this prevents rainwater, etc. from rising due to capillary action.

1 to 3 show a draining structure for a vehicle body opening/closing member according to an embodiment of the present invention, and this is an example applied to a door draining structure. An opening (not shown) is formed in the side surface of the vehicle body, and a door 1, which is an opening/closing member, is provided in the opening so as to be openable and closable. This door 1 consists of a door panel 2 and a substantially U-shaped door sash 3, and the door panel 2 includes:
It is composed of an inner panel 4 and an outer panel 5 that bulge out toward the inside of the vehicle, and the inner panel 4 has an inner handle attachment hole 6, a door trim fastener hole 7, a stopper hole 8, etc., and the outer panel 5 has an outer handle attachment hole 9 formed therein.

In addition, coupling flange portions 10 are formed on the peripheries of both sides and a lower portion of the inner panel 4, and the peripheries of both side portions and the lower portion of the outer panel 5 are folded back and hemmed to the coupling flange portions 10 of the inner panel 4. In this way, the inner panel 4 and the outer panel 5 are joined to each other.

A draining opening (draining portion) 11 is formed across the joint S with the outer panel 5, thereby preventing water flowing through the joint S between the joint flange base 11a of the inner panel 4 and the outer panel 5. The rise is now being blocked. Further, a water drain hole 12 is appropriately formed in the lower part of the inner panel 4, so that water that enters between the inner panel 4 and the outer panel 5 can be drained away.

次に作用効果について説明する。 Next, the effects will be explained.

When rainwater or the like enters between the inner panel 4 and outer panel 5 of the door panel 2, the rainwater or the like will be drained out of the door panel 2 through the drain hole 12 formed in the lower part of the inner panel 4.

At that time, at the rising side of the door panel 2, the rainwater, etc. that has entered rises through the joint S between the joint flange base 11a of the inner panel 4 and the outer panel 5 due to capillary action, and this becomes the cause. Therefore, there is a risk that rust may occur on the inner surface of the door panel 2. In contrast, in this door, a drainage opening 11 is formed near the bottom of the side rising portion 4a of the inner panel 4, and the rainwater etc. cannot rise above the drainage opening 11 due to capillary action. Therefore, rainwater and the like hardly rise up on the rising side portions of the door panel 2, and rust does not occur.

In the door of this embodiment as described above, the drainage opening 11 formed near the bottom of the side rising portion 4a of the inner panel 4 prevents water from rising, and as a result, it is possible to prevent water from rising. The complexity of coating can be eliminated and costs can be reduced.

Note that the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiments, and can be modified and modified in various ways. For example, the present invention can be applied to drain structures for vehicle body opening/closing members other than doors, and can also be applied to drain holes in inner panels. does not necessarily need to be provided.

As described above, according to the present invention, in the opening/closing member that is provided in the vehicle body opening so as to be openable and closable and is composed of an inner panel and an outer panel, the inner panel and the outer panel are hemmed together, and the side riser of the inner panel is connected by hemming. Since a drain is formed at the base of the joint flange near the bottom of the joint, it is possible to prevent water from rising due to capillary action at the joint between the inner panel and the outer panel. It has the effect of eliminating complexity.
