Vehicles such as automobiles are usually equipped with window washers to ensure the driver's forward visibility. This is a device that uses a washer pump to pump up cleaning fluid from a reserve tank installed under the bonnet of a car that stores cleaning fluid, and sprays it onto the windshield through a nozzle, which is then used in combination with a wiper to clean the windshield. Also, as a device that doubles the driver's pressing force on the brake pedal to perform a braking action,
Some automobiles are equipped with pneumatic brake boosters.
This is used to store compressed air from the pump.
The compressed air is stored in a tank and is introduced into a brake booster according to the amount of depression of the brake pedal to perform a boosting action.

However, in conventional automobiles that are equipped with both a window washer and a pneumatic brake booster, there is a reserve tank for storing cleaning fluid for the window washer and a reserve air tank for the pneumatic brake booster. Since the structure was such that the hood was individually equipped as a dedicated part within the bonnet, it was not only difficult to secure mounting space within the limited bonnet, but also increased manufacturing costs.

The present invention has been made in view of these conventional problems, and solves the above problems by providing a reserve tank device that serves as both a reserve tank for storing liquid and a reserve air tank for storing compressed air. It aims to solve the problem.

In the figure, numeral 1 is a reserve tank,
The interior is kept airtight by screwing on the lid 2. The lower part of the reserve tank 1 constitutes a liquid reservoir 3 and acts as a reserve tank for storing liquid, and the upper part constitutes a compressed air reservoir 4 and acts as a reserve air tank for storing compressed air. The figure shows an embodiment in which the liquid reservoir 3 is used as a reserve tank for storing cleaning liquid for a window washer, and the compressed air reservoir 4 is used as a reserve air tank for a pneumatic brake booster. Inlet port 4a of compressed air storage section 4
is connected to a compressed air generation source 8 consisting of a motor 6 and a pump 7 through a piping 5 via a check valve 9 that prevents backflow of air. It is connected to a battery (BATT.) via a pressure switch SW 2 and an ignition switch SW 1 which detect descent and rise and issue a control signal for the motor 6. This pressure switch
The SW 2 and the check valve 9 constitute pressure maintaining means for the reserve tank 1. The outlet port 4b of the compressed air reservoir 4 is connected via a pipe 10 to a brake booster 11, which is a pneumatically operated device.

In addition, the outlet port 3a of the liquid reservoir 3 is
A two-port, two-position switching solenoid valve 12, which is normally closed and opens when energized, is connected via a pipe 13 to a nozzle 14, which is a liquid-operated device facing a windshield (not shown). 2 port 2 position switching solenoid valve 1
The solenoid section No. 2 is connected to the battery (BATT.) via the window watch switch SW 3 and the ignition switch SW 1 .

Remove the lid 2, inject the cleaning liquid into the reserve tank 1 to an appropriate level, and with the lid 2 attached to keep the interior airtight, turn the ignition switch SW 1.
When turned on, pressure switch SW 2 detects a lack of internal pressure in reserve tank 1 and turns on compressed air source 8.
is driven, and compressed air is supplied through the pipe 5 until its internal pressure reaches a predetermined pressure and the pressure switch SW 2 is operated again to turn off the compressed air generation source 8. Therefore, the cleaning liquid in the liquid reservoir 3 is subjected to a predetermined compressed air pressure.

In this condition, the window wash switch
When SW 3 is turned on, the 2-port 2-position switching solenoid valve 12 is opened, and the cleaning liquid is injected from the nozzle 14 onto the windshield. Also, when the brake pedal (not shown) is depressed, a relay valve (not shown) of the brake booster 11 opens, and compressed air is supplied to the power cylinder 11a, and the hydraulic cylinder 1
Pressure oil is generated in 1b to boost the braking force.

By the way, in the compressed air generation source 8, the motor 6 is omitted, the pump 7 is driven by an engine (not shown), and the pressure maintaining means is replaced with the pressure switch SW 2 and the check valve 9, and is replaced by a pressure switch inside the reserve tank 1. It can be used as a relief valve to regulate the maximum hydraulic pressure, and the nozzle 14, which is a liquid-operated device, can be installed adjacent to the headlamp and can act as a headlamp cleaner. Also, a brake booster 1 which is a pneumatically operated device
1 can also be an auto-levelizer (vehicle height adjustment device).

As explained above, according to the present invention, the configuration is such that the lower part of the reserve tank installed in the vehicle is airtight and the lower part is the liquid storage part, the upper part is the compressed air storage part, and the liquid storage part is connected to the piping. The compressed air storage section is connected to a compressed air source and a pneumatically operated device via piping, and is equipped with means for maintaining compressed air pressure. In a vehicle equipped with operating equipment and pneumatic operating equipment, a reserve tank that stores liquid to be supplied to the liquid operating equipment and a reserve air tank that stores compressed air to be supplied to the pneumatic operating equipment are in a state in which the fluid is pressurized. Since it is compactly integrated into a single unit, it is not only inexpensive, but also makes it easier to secure a space for installing it in a vehicle.
