長安定化装置において、半導体レーザの出力光の
一部を入射して周波数変調する変調手段と、前記
変調手段の出力光の一部を入射して特定の波長で
吸収を起こす標準物質を封入した吸収セルと、こ
の吸収セルの透過光を入射して電気信号に変換す
る第1の光検出器と、前記変調手段の出力光の他
の部分を検出して電気信号に変換する第2の光検
出器と、前記第1および第2の光検出器の出力に
関連する信号の差を演算する減算手段と、この減
算手段の出力を前記変調手段の変調周波数または
その整数倍の周波数で同期整流する同期整流回路
と、この同期整流回路の出力が一定値となるよう
に前記半導体レーザの電流または温度を制御する
制御手段とを備えたことを特徴とする半導体レー
