    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. 基板間に液晶が挾持される電気光学装置におい
    て、一方の基板上に、画素電極及び駆動電極と、
    両電極に接続する非線型抵抗層とを形成し、この
    非線型抵抗層上に絶縁物質からなる遮光層が設け
    られていることを特徴とする電気光学装置。
