[Prior Art] Conventionally, organically modified montmorillonite has been blended into nail polishes to prevent pigments and pearlescent agents from settling by utilizing its good thixotropic properties derived from clay minerals. In this case, toluene as a solvent,
Aromatic hydrocarbon solvents such as xylene have been used. Aromatic hydrocarbon solvents such as toluene swell the clay and form the best gels, and nail polishes containing such gels exhibit relatively good dispersion stability and settle and separate over time. Toluene and the like were considered indispensable as solvents for this type of nail polish because they do not cause any pollution.

There is also an example (Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 174003/1983) in which hydrophobic silica was added to further improve dispersion stability and stability over time.
These use gel compositions that require toluene, so
Naturally, nail polishes also contain toluene. On the other hand, as a gel composition for nail polish that does not contain aromatic hydrocarbon solvents such as toluene and xylene, there is an example (Japanese Patent Publication No. 61-001044) in which a hydroxyl group-containing polar substance and a phenyl group-containing organic silicone compound are specifically blended. The technology for safe nail polish has been established.

[Problem to be solved by the invention] Aromatic hydrocarbon solvents such as toluene and xylene have safety issues for the human body, and there is a concern that frequent use of nail polish may cause damage or pain to the nails. It is known that there is In addition, Japanese Patent Publication No. 61-001044, which does not contain toluene, xylene, etc., is safe for the human body and has thixotropic properties, and has somewhat good dispersion stability and stability over time, but in terms of stability it is even worse. In view of this situation, the present inventors, who had room for improvement, developed a nail polish that was safe for the human body, had excellent dispersion stability, and stability over time, as well as excellent coating properties and usability. After careful consideration,
It has been found that a nail polish containing organically modified montmorillonite, silica and a non-aromatic solvent can solve these problems (Japanese Patent Application No. 63-67066). however,
This product was not yet fully satisfactory in terms of long-term stability. The inventors of the present invention have conducted repeated studies to develop a nail polish that can also satisfy long-term stability, and as a result, they have developed a nail polish that essentially contains organically modified montmorillonite, silica, an anionic surfactant, and a non-aromatic solvent. We have found a solution to all these problems and have completed the present invention.

Aromatic hydrocarbon solvents such as toluene and xylene, phenyl group-containing organic silicones, and the like that have been used so far are substances that swell the clay and impart thixotropic properties. However, the present invention does not use toluene, xylene, etc. at all, uses a non-aromatic solvent that is safe for the human body, provides excellent thixotropy through the interaction of organically modified montmorillonite and silica, and uses an anionic surfactant to provide superior thixotropy. , long-term stability has been improved and a major objective has been achieved.
