In general, as a method for preventing corrosion of metal members, a cathodic protection method is known in which a metal that is electrochemically more base than the object to be protected, which is a metal member, is brought into electrical contact with the object to be protected and used as a sacrificial anode. . A sacrificial anode for preventing corrosion of metal members using these cathodic protection methods has been proposed in Japanese Patent Publication No. 16854/1983. This sacrificial anode has a conductive adhesive layer provided on the surface of the flexible thin plate anode, and this conductive adhesive layer fixes the anode to the surface of the object to be protected and establishes electrical continuity between the anode and the object to be protected. be. However, conductive adhesives are expensive and are not suitable for use as sacrificial anodes that are used in large quantities. Moreover, the metal particles that are usually mixed in to provide conductivity oxidize over time, causing the conductivity to deteriorate. It has points.

This invention enables the use of inexpensive ordinary non-conductive adhesives instead of expensive conductive adhesives that are subject to deterioration over time, and provides an anti-corrosion seal that is extremely easy to apply and has excellent anti-corrosion effects. It is something to do.

The inventors of the present invention focused on a seal that is extremely convenient to install and handle, and as a result of various studies on the anticorrosion effect when attaching the seal to the object to be protected, they found that the contact between the seal and the object to be protected is not necessarily electric. There is no need for electrical conduction; even if there is point contact, the anticorrosive effect will be effective as long as there is partial electrical conduction. Even if you use a non-conductive regular adhesive, if you do not apply the adhesive to the entire surface of the sticker, but leave some unpainted areas, the sticker can be peeled off from the backing paper. When pasting onto the object to be protected, by pressing lightly from above the seal piece, the unpainted area of the adhesive brings direct contact between the seal piece and the object to be protected, establishing electrical continuity; We have obtained extremely useful knowledge that overcomes a blind spot in the past: that as long as the adhesive does not deteriorate over time due to the influence of the environment, it will not deteriorate easily and an effective anticorrosion effect can be maintained over a long period of time. The present invention is based on these findings.

FIG. 1 shows an example of the seal of the present invention, in which one or more seal pieces 2 are removably pasted on a mount 1. In FIG. 1, the seal pieces 2 are made of a metal that is electrochemically more base than the object to be protected against corrosion to which these seal pieces are attached. Therefore, as a typical example, when the object to be protected from corrosion is steel or the like, the seal piece 2 is formed of metals such as Zn, Al, Mg, or alloys of these metals. The thickness of the seal piece 2 is preferably 0.3 mm or less in order to make it easier to peel off the seal piece 2 from the mount 1 and to maintain a certain degree of flexibility, and is preferably 10 μm or more in terms of corrosion protection life. It is preferable. The thickness of the seal piece is preferably 20 μm or more.
It is 0.15μm. As the mount 1 on which the seal pieces 2 are releasably attached, silicone processed paper or electrical discharge machined resin film can be preferably used.

As shown in FIG. 2, the adhesive 3 is applied to the back surface of each seal piece 2 pasted on the mount 1 so as to leave a portion 4 left uncoated. The adhesive 3 does not need to be an expensive conductive adhesive, and can be appropriately selected from inexpensive adhesives such as ordinary acrylic adhesives, or may be a mixture of these and chlorinated rubber. The unpainted portion 4 of the adhesive 3 does not have to be in the form of a stripe as shown in FIG. 2, but may be in any suitable shape, such as a spot shape.
In short, it is important that the adhesive 3 applied to the back surface of the seal piece 2 has an uncoated portion. The thickness of the adhesive 3 is preferably about 10 to 80 μm, and the area of the uncoated portion 4 in each seal piece 2 is preferably 30% or less in view of the adhesion strength to the object to be protected.

The above-mentioned seal can be easily created by applying a mask or applying the adhesive 3 in advance so as to have some uncoated parts 4, and then half-cutting the tape or strip using a press machine to remove unnecessary parts. can do.

These seals can be applied to the object to be protected from corrosion very easily by peeling off the seal piece 2 from the mount 1, pasting it on an appropriate part of the object to be protected from corrosion, and pressing lightly on the seal piece 2. After pasting the seal piece 2 onto the object to be protected from corrosion, by pressing it lightly, the seal piece 2 is firmly fixed to the object to be protected from corrosion, and the adhesive 3 is left uncoated on the back side of the seal piece 2. The portion 4 comes into direct contact with the object to be protected, electrical continuity is established between the seal piece 2 and the object to be protected, and the anticorrosion effect is effectively exerted.

According to the present invention as described above, construction and handling are extremely simple by forming the sacrificial anode as a seal, and moreover, the cathodic protection effect can be achieved even by using an inexpensive ordinary adhesive without using an expensive conductive adhesive. Necessary electrical continuity is achieved, the anticorrosion effect is ensured over a long period of time, and a corrosion-proofing seal that is extremely useful in practice can be obtained.
